| Every day, on the walk to town we passed this house. Its pink and fun, which people in Europe get away with much more than Americans do. I thought this house was really pretty. However, when we walked by, we saw: |

| This is another place we passed. As you can tell, some of these houses are fantastically huge, they're these grand old mansions from the early 20th century. Many have fallen into disrepair, but others are just fabulous, like this one. This is actually a hotel now, so if you're ever in Mytilene, look into staying here! I want to stay in the very top room, that's so freaking cool! And I love the blue and white look of it.. wow. |

| As I said, some houses have fallen into disrepair. This seems to be one of them, but it was inhabited. I think they just maybe couldn't afford to paint it all pretty-like. Under that top window is a relief of a god (looked like Janus to me.. but isn't that a Roman one?) with faces going both directions and wings.. its sweet. |
