Stand on the razor's edge between Fantasy and Reality...

STONEHENGE, REALITY. Purportedly a sacred ground for the ancients Druids and Celtic people who believed it was the meeting place between mortals and the gods. Scholars do not know the actual use of the ring of large standing stones built during the Late Neolithic period and early Bronze age, but it is assumed from the placement of several stones that aligned on significant risings and settings of the sun and moon that it could be a temple for sky worship.

RIVENDELL, FANTASY. An Elven valley where the House of Elrond could be found, an inn/sanctuary of sorts for travelers, originating from the fertile mind of J.R.R. Tolkien, a British author and scholar, who dreamed of another realm called MIDDLE EARTH, in which he described his dreams in such elaborate detail that they seemed to take on a "life" of their own. He created unique races of creatures, (Orcs, trolls, Goblins, Ringwraiths, etc. in "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy), who have become a commonplace part of our present day lore, and interwove the ancients' fantasies of fairies and elves with his own to create a unique world in which the reader only needs to "step" through the portal of his pages to be there.

LABYRINTH, UNKNOWN. Was an intricate maze, which existence is based on the ancient mythology of the MINOTAUR. Ariadne's thread supposedly led Theseus back to freedom after he slew the Minotaur, a fearsome creature--half bull/half human-- who dwelled within the labyrinth's corridors.

ATLANTIS (Lemuria), UNKNOWN. An ancient continent whose tales were first told in the writings of Homer. It was said to have sunk beneath the sea after a catastrophic event. Some say there are many treasures there to be found if the true location of Atlantis is ever discovered. Various authors have placed it off the isle of Bimini in the Atlantic Ocean; others off the coast of Greece. With the recent finding of the Titanic and other wrecks with new underwater technology, perhaps one day soon, Atlantis too will be found!

PYRAMIDS, REALITY. Mysterious structures built by the Egyptians as tombs for the pharoahs. Many wonder if these tombs, which can be seen from space, were built by slaves...or extraterrestrials. Were these used as guide or maps for those traveling to Earth? Also, there is speculation about the large etchings or drawings on the plains which also can be seen from space in South America.
