To demonstrate technology operations and concepts, my evidence is a simple weekly planning form. This is one of many uses for technology I employ as an educator. I create student forms, worksheets, recording documents, assessments, and communication pieces. I also show my colleagues how to create these. Please use the Technology Standard Headings as buttons to the linked files.

To exhibit one of my internet learning environments, I am posting a screen shot of an online “Google”® search of subject content. I use an LCD device to project live searches for my whole class due to their extreme participation and enjoyment. It is very beneficial, especially for English learners to increase their experiences, connections and understandings of a given subject. Another way to connect to powerful online planning is the CLRN site where teachers use resources and peer editing. Here is a sample plan:

I utilize technology to maximize student learning many ways. I create documents and worksheets. I project my first graders’ own sentence creations which I type as they dictate. I have an in class computer station for small group learning. My links for this standard are to simple web quest pages. Students following my guide will visit different sites to learn then do simple activites and finally summarize their findings. This assists them with grade level contents as well as technology goals.

Here is an introduction I project for the Add and Subtract Weather Project.
Last but not least, here is a suggested rubric.

To demonstrate assessment and evaluation of student learning through various techniques I have attached a pair of my scoring tables. There are columns for each subject standard on which students are assessed and reported. Additionally, I use my district’s multiple measures reporting data base. The "Multiple Measure" tool is for logging, comparing, and documenting student achievement. An easy use of technology for eye catching student assessments is to create picture flashcards which students must identify, classify, explain and communicate about regarding specific subject contents (like American symbols or types of skin coverings, etc.)

Regarding productivity and professional development: Prior to education, my career was graphic design. I have brought many useful skills into my teaching profession. I have taken numerous classes on technologies (both to learn software and for implementing them.) This link is to a composite of documents issued to me at course end. These courses have been during completion of my Bachelor’s degree, my state credentialing requirements, professional development, and while finishing my Master’s of Education in Instructional Technology. Also I post a literature review, in which I examine and summarize several current journal articles and research reports that are focused on implementing technology and related educational issues. Follow to the review.

As my evidence of using technology within a scope of social, ethical, legal and human issues here is a power point summary. I created this visual from a full report documenting some key elements of my school's culture during its opening year. It includes data, photos, survey results and other facts pertinent for descriptions and conclusions. It may take a moment to load.

To demonstrate knowledge and skills with procedures, policies, planning and budgeting for technology environments, see first an inventory used to determine needs. Also, follow links to grade level potential technology plans for my current school site.

I believe that all educators can increase implementation and improve teaching strategies. This will more positively and powerfully affect the learning by students in our contemporary “information age”. I link here to sample professional development documents I have created. There is a simple teacher’s needs assessment, a brief development presentation and a basic tutorial for creating a primary student’s booklet. These tools can be used individually or in group settings.
