Students are very actively engaged participating and questioning during whole group viewing of websearches. This picture shows one of our science searches for plants. Students learn about different habitats, what plants need, how they are different from one another, even how to preserve or protect them. All of them have experiences they share and connect with, in addition to being extremely interested to see anything new to them. As soon as we finish our online search, I input their "descriptions" into a simple word document where they can see their own sentences projected in large print. If you try this last idea, make sure you are typing at a speed that will keep them watching.
