Doug Honey, Founder & CEO
Doug Honey is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of
Trancas Capital.  Mr. Honey has over 15 years experience
in development, operations, acquisitions, and financial
aspects of the amusement industry.  Mr. Honey is the
founder of Trancas Capital, which is a growing real estate
company acquiring real estate associated with
amusement operations across the country.  He is the
co-founder of Palace Entertainment, which he grew from
startup to the largest operator of local parks in the country
with 15 million annual visitors, over 9,000 employees, and
37 parks in 5 years.  As CFO of Palace, Mr. Honey oversaw
the acquisition of 9 companies and was responsible for
raising $400 million in debt, equity, and sale/leaseback
financing.  Mr. Honey has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering
from the University of California, San Diego and an MBA
from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Gary Fitzpatrick, COO & General Counsel
Gary Fitzpatrick is the Chief Operating Officer and General
Counsel of Trancas Capital.  Mr. Fitzpatrick was previously
the General Counsel for Palace Entertainment, the largest
owner and operator of water parks and family
entertainment centers in the United States.  As General
Counsel for Palace, Mr. Fitzpatrick handled the legal
aspects of the acquisition of 17 facilities, taking the
company from 20 to 37 locations. Mr. Fitzpatrick is a
founder and board member of the California Attractions
and Parks Association, an organization representing the
collective interests of all major theme and water parks in
California including Disney, Six Flags, Sea World and
Knotts Berry Farm. Prior to joining Palace Entertainment,
Mr. Fitzpatrick was in private practice in the area of tax and
corporate law with the law firm of Freeman, Freeman &
Smiley. Mr. Fitzpatrick has a BS in Finance from the
University of Southern California and a JD from the
University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law.

Ron Elchert, CFO
Ron Elchert is the Chief Financial Officer of Trancas
Capital.  Mr. Elchert was previously the Vice President of
Finance for Palace Entertainment, the largest owner and
operator of water parks and family entertainment centers in
the United States.  As VP of Finance for Palace, Mr. Elchert
was responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting
functions of the company.  In addition he handled the
finance and accounting aspects of the acquisition of 17
facilities.  Prior to joining Palace Entertainment, Mr. Elchert
spent 15 years at Ralphs Grocery Company, the largest
supermarket chain in Southern California and a division of
Kroger, Inc., culminating as the Director of Financial
Accounting where he oversaw and managed all financial
accounting departments having a staff of 50 employees.  
Mr. Elchert has a BS in Accounting from the Ohio State
University.

Brad Wagstaff, Managing Director
Brad Wagstaff is a Managing Director of Trancas Capital.  
Mr. Wagstaff was previously a Strategic Finance Manager
at Intel Corporation and Intel Corporation’s venture capital
group. Mr. Wagstaff brings six years experience in Finance,
Investments, and Acquisitions Management with Intel
Corporation and has partnered to execute over $300M in
investment, acquisition, and equity decisions for Intel
Corporation.  Mr. Wagstaff also brings experience in
managing a $200M R&D budget while at Intel Corporation.
Mr. Wagstaff enjoys real estate investing and development
in the Sacramento area served as the Chairman of the City
of Folsom’s Redevelopment Counci.  Mr. Wagstaff holds a
B.S. in Accounting from the Marriott School of Management
at Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Wharton
School at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Wagstaff also
three years international business and leadership
experience in Bangkok, Thailand.

Dean Chang, Managing Director
Dean Chang is a Managing Director of Trancas Capital. Mr.
Chang previously held the dual roles of Chief Technology
Officer and Vice President, Gaming Business at
Immersion Corporation, a company he helped guide over
ten years from a four-person, venture-backed, Silicon
Valley startup to a $200M publicly traded technology leader
(NASDAQ: IMMR).  As general manager, Mr. Chang was
responsible for strategic direction, sales & marketing, and
operations of licensing Immersion’s vast patent portfolio to
the video game industry.  In two years, Mr. Chang grew
gaming licensing royalties 83% to all-time highs in
revenue and net income while also increasing profit
margin.  He was part of executive road show team that
successfully raised $51 million in an initial public stock
offering and $20 million in a private convertible debenture
placement.  Mr. Chang has written freelance articles in
Computer magazine, BusinessWeek Online, and
GameDAILY BIZ.  He was a Pi Tau Sigma graduate from
MIT and holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from MIT
and an M.S. and Ph.D in mechanical engineering from
Stanford University. He also holds an MBA with honors and
received the highest distinction of Palmer Scholar from the
Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
