This is my "about me" page.

From a geneology perspective, I was born in 1970, along with my twin brother James, at Loyola Hospital, in Maywood, Illinois. I have an older brother, William, and an older sister, Anne Marie. We are the children of William Anstrand Sr. (born 1940) and Frances Janice Anstrand (born Frances Janice Tey, 12-Jan-1943 - passed away on 16-Sep-2005). My father was one of three boys born to George Anstrand, Sr. (born in the 1890's) and Gertrude Marie (born in 1899). My father's brothers were George and James. My grandfather died just a few months before I was born so I never got to meet him, but I heard the stories growing up of what a neat guy he was. He was, I believe, the youngest of 7 children, born to Peter and Anna Olstrand. My grandfather spoke Swedish and was proud of his heritage. He adored his grandchildren, my older brother and sister and would often have them sitting on his lap while he entertained them with little Swedish sayings. My grandfather also fought in World War I, and was stationed in Siberia (Vladivostok?). Peter and Anna, my great-grandparents were born in Linköping, Sweden in 1850.

Someday I would love to research this geneology further and visit the homeland of my great-grandparents.

A little bit about me, I work for a major credit card corporation at their corporate head quarters in a suburb of Chicago. I'm in Marketing Analytics. I'm a current student at Trinity International University. I'm not married and have no children but I am the proud Aunt to eight wonderful nieces and nephews. I love to travel, surf the internet, chat with people all over the world. I enjoy online backgammon and learning all about my Macintosh G4 Powerbook. I also enjoy the occasional movie, and reading fictional novels (although I haven't had much time for leisure reading since I started college in 2004); most recent reads have been books the Left Behind Books by Jerry Jenkins/Tim LeHaye, also books by Diana Gabaldon and E. Annie Proulx. That should be enough rambling to bore you all for a while. Feel free to drop me a line.
