Kate's Great Big Road Trip: Niagra

Howdy All!

Okay So maybe I'll be the last to post my review here, I thought about doing it last night at 2:30 AM when we got home, but I pretty much crashed the moment I got in the house.

So we left the grand ole' state of Pennsylvania at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Traveling the distance of a whopping 250 miles to Buffalo, was...well boring! Until we stopped at Burger King somewhere in Erie, and bought Jon a strawberry milkshake, which was a big mistake, cause the drive went from boring to annoying really fast...I'm wondering what excatly was in the shake, cause it turned my sweet little brother in the most annoying little ball of energy. Oh well, we made it though.

We stayed in a hotel in Lockport, and dined in Pizza Hut that evening, where we ran into a girl and her father who we chatted with for awhile about horses. They'd left their Horse Illustrated on the table in the resturant and so we, knowing how important such reading material is to the horseman, gladly returned it to them on the way out the door. As it turned out, the man was a teacher like my mother, and the daughter has been riding for 6 years like me...Small world.

Anyway, the hotel stay was nice, and we woke up and headed out for breakfast in the morning. I realized that Buffalo is so much different than here because it's like...the roads are sooooo straight and long...but there could be rural areas and urban areas all on the same street, it was different. And when we did actually get to the city of Buffalo it was like this gradual entry into the city part, as opposed to around here...I mean going to Pittsburgh is overwhelming because there's nothing..nothing....noting...nothing....and theeennn...PITTSBURGH!!! It's almost scarey. Okay so I'm a country girl and I don't get out much!! I was delighted to be a pedestrian when we were walking from parking lot to the Square.

Me in the car at the Gas Station when we were trying to get to Niagra Falls!

Anyway after breakfast, we checked out of the hotel and went up to Niagra Falls. Which was really nice. I hadn't been there since I was little so it was groovy to see big water falling over a huge cliff again.

After Niagra, we headed out for Buffalo! And there was the gradual arrival into the city thing again. Which was weird. We had an interesting time finding the place, it was difficult but we made it there around 3:30 that afternoon. And then I was excited!!

On to the Show!
