The Show!

We arrived and set up our little chairs back by the wall, and then I met people!! Yay!! And guys it was so cool to finally meet all of you!! Let's see, I met AngB, Sheri, Moe, Pammi, Stuart, Anne in Philly, vot ona, Fiona, Dr. T, anyone I leave out?? oh yeah And Squeak!! I didn't even know you were coming squeak! But it was cool runnin' into ya! If I left anyone else out, sorry, cause I don't remember any more...lol...You guys were great!! Sorry Jon was a little shy, I don't think he realized that he was such a popular kid!

The Guitarist for Jennifer Marie

So it started, I didn't think much of that Jennifer Marie...I don't know, she was boring Jon half to death, and It just wasn't my kinda music....I don't know. So Jon wanted to go sit down until GBS came on.

Jackdaw...

Jackdaw ROCKED!! I absolutely loved them! Wow, all those bagpipes in the beginning, and the kilts, then those dancers, and the music...wow, Good stuff! So we tried to push our way back up towards the front of the stage when they were on. and we were almost there. But we found a decent spot down on the grass, where there was enough space. Did I mention rain yet? Oh yeah, we were soaked!! Anyway, we were stading there (and here's a prime example of why I like GBS fans much better than your run of the mill concert goers) And this absolute MOB of teen agers...my age, but you know worse than me...the crazy scarey ones who think that smoking looks great and that are standing around looking all smart, no rain coats or umbrellas, but oh they're so darn cool...anyway, me and Jon were dancing around and all of a sudden they surrounded us, and Started walking on top of Jon, and I had our rain ponchos on the ground and their stepping all over them and making them and myself all muddy, I was getting about ticked, then they were like talking around me...and totally getting in my way, And I was getting mad. One girl was actually trying to avoid stepping on the ponchos...so finally, I said..."Hey Look!! Watch this! How bout you get off of them, And I'll pick them up! Wow!" in a darn sarcastic voice, cause I was mad. And they gave me dirty looks, so I grabbed Jon by the hand and left. So yeah, We hung back until Jackdaw was done, and I was mad, because I was seperated from all of you lovely OKP people who I was trying to get back up to, and by the people who have no manners or respect for anyone else around them.

But I got over that and was determined to work my way up to the die-hard fans up front on those weird steps. So I tied the camera to my pants, grabbed and Umbrella, and Jon's hand and started shoving though, and we ended up on the almost top step thingie stage Darrell! And then the real Show started!!

Wow it was awesome! I don't know who the ladies standing beside us were, but if you're out there anywhere, I'd love to extend my thanks for your concert kindness!! Jon really wanted to be up there I didn't want him squashed, so you helped me protect him and let him see the guys! You even picked him up so he cold take some pictures!! He was thrilled to be there. And even more thanks to the two who halfway through the show let us stand right up by the stage, Jon really enjoyed it much more then. Thanks so much! It means a lot to me!!

Okay So I don't remember any more, but it was loverly!

I especially loved how the rain stopped soon after Alan said it would!! And then said that it was getting warm, and if you wanted to take your clothes off that was up to you, but there would be no nudity on stage! LOL...

And then there was Alan's rendition Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Which I think the crowd really loved, I loved it, thought that was rather fitting for the kinda day it was! That was good...and then a bit of that song from Moulin Rouge...lol...Gosh, Loved Sean's little Dance there!! Saw a little bit of tummy skin there! LOL and he said there'd be no nudity ;)....LOL...okay yeah...it was fun!

Don't you think that Sean should wear light blue all the time...it's like his color, I don't think his hair was really happening there...he just can't stay away from the hair dye huh? LOL, it wasn't too bad. Of all of the guys, I think the hardest to not look at is Alan. I mean, he's just having so much fun up there, and such a ham too. I think he enjoys people taking his picture...I was going to snap one while he was standing on the edge of the stage there, but then he backed up, and I took my camera down, and he gave me the absolute silliest look I've ever seen. LOL...But yeah. It was all so great!

Too bad I ran out of film before we moved up closer to the stage, I think my pictures are going to have a lot of heads in them, and Jon took a few, so I don't know what that'll be like!! Oh well, it was fun anyway!

So we drove home in the dark of the night. And stopped at a Denny's for a late night dinner, and then came home. I listened to the 2 cds we got to complete my GBS collection, Great Big Sea and Play. And then went to bed, but all in all, it was an awesome trip....

So Buffalo all I have to say is, "We came, We Saw, We conquered and Crumbled"....and we did do it all in our own true way...
