I am an experienced user of Dreamweaver 4.0, Photoshop 6.0, Paintshop Pro and Windows 2000 including Word, Excel, Outlook, FrontPage and Access. I am also a proficient user of Adobe Pagemaker 6.0, Ultraedit, Allaire Homesite (website development - now a Macromedia product), Folio Views, Pivotal and Bookmaster (TMS stock control and client database system).
Brookers sites are hosted on NT servers using IIS.

Provided web, desktop publishing and marketing support, in a professional publishing environment, working with and reporting to the Marketing Manager. This is a small team with a heavy workload and the position involves balancing many different responsibilities and working to deadlines.
Developed and maintained the Butterworths web site. This includes the project management and design of the current web site and development of the new company web site. Sourcing materials from internal and external suppliers, and the markup of data to HTML using Homesite.
Working with internal and external suppliers, I was responsible for the project management of the yearly corporate catalogue, and the academic year planner, within set deadline and budget. This involved briefing outside agencies, supplying documentation, proofing and managing the distribution of final product. This requires attention to detail and responsibility for the accuracy of the final product.
Sourced samples and quotes for appropriate merchandise material for conferences and sponsored events to deadline and within budget.
Responsible for the creation and implementation of direct marketing campaigns, including writing copy, brochure design, database building, and delivery management. Monitored results of DM campaigns and maintenance of the mailing databases to ensure consistency.
Developed and maintained the product manual for Account Managers and overseas offices. Included developing a competitor analysis section for benchmarking purposes and project management of the editorial department to ensure completion of task to specifications and within set deadline.
Developed promotional plans for new text releases. Wrote and distributed press releases to relevant media. Arranged distribution of book copies and detailed information sent out for book reviews and inspection copies. Developed brochures and advertising to within set budget. Scoped avenues for further product promotion (ie sponsorships, book displays).
Negotiated sponsorship deals and organised source materials for Account Managers to use at conferences, seminars and sponsorship opportunities.
Responsible for the inhouse design and creation of conference flyers, brochures, product, and recruitment advertising; also booking advert space.
Recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies in Marketing through Massey University.
