| Middle Earth Sock Puppet Theatre (or MESPT for short) |
| Now, I'm sure that many of you will be asked, 'what the heck is she dribbling about now?' Well, let me try and enlighten you. The MESPT is a community set up on Livejournal. In it, people take on the characters from JRR Tolkiens Lord of the Rings series of books. Some of the characters are well known, like Aragorn, Boromir and Gandalf, others are not so well known unless you have read the other books (and appendices). I play Morwen Eledwen, and Vidumavi Vidumavi - The daughter of Vidugavia, King of Rhovanion. She wedded Valacar, the royal ambassador of Gondor, and together they had a son, Vinitharya, who would become known as Eldacar. Vidumavi's was the first non-N�men�rean blood to enter the Royal House of Gondor, a fact that would lead to the civil war of the Kin-strife. Vidumavi is the character that I play the most I must admit, and the one that I have the most fun with :) I was bored, so I decided to play with icons. This page was the result. (And in case you were wondering who the person was, its Jessica Alba.) Morwen, well she was my original character, and about five minutes after I had created her I discovered that someone else had had the same idea as me. But the other Morwen's player and I managed to come to a conclusion, and so my Morwen is the evil cursed twin. Quite fun to play at times. Morwen - The daughter of Baragund, wife of Hurin. Lady of Dor-Iomin Three children, Lalaith (laughter, died of plague), Turin, and Nienor (mourning). Lived in Dor-Iomin with Nienor while Hurin was imprisoned in Angband and Turin was living with King Thingol of Doriath. Eventually, Morwen and Nienor fled to Thingols halls, but found Turin gone and no word of him. In time news came to Doriath that the hero Mormegil whose deeds were well known was no other than Turin. Morwen was distraught and rode out alone seeking her son or some news of him. Thingol sent people after her and among these was the disguised Nienor, They reached Amon Ethir and there the dragon Glaurung came upon them. Her horse maddened by fear, Morwen was lost and no tidings of her came back to Doriath. Morwen wandered distraught in the wild for some time. Four years later, Turin and Nienor died, and a year after that Hurin was released. He wandered until in a dream he heard the voice of Morwen and he travelled to Cabed Naermarth. There Morwen was. They were reunited, but Morwen knew death was approaching and as the sun went down, she died. Returned to Middle-Earth, only to find that she was a copy of the original Morwen. Decided that being good is not all that it was cracked up to be, and has 'turned to the dark side.' And again, I got bored, and these icons were the result. And there you have it. My two characters.
