This is Chris, Laura and me in back home in the summer of 2000.
To the right, that is around Tokyo looking from Mt Takao. I spent a year working for Hitachi. It was great fun and I loved travelling around Japan.

I went to Darmstadt Germany summer 2001 and did a 2 month language school at TU Darmstadt and short internship program at Danet. Here is the link to the school http://www.spz.tu-darmstadt.de/summer_school/ . One of my fellow students, Dan, put up a nice page detailing the summer event.
I stayed with a very friendly family, the Lattemanns.
The experience was very good, and of course, during my time here I found a job and am now working in Germany. One disappointment of the program now (2002) is that they cut the international participants and only accept American students. Even though it saves administration costs, and the majority of participants were students studying in the states, this cut was definitely a disappointment in my eyes.
March 2001: And I am counselling at a Youth Retreat for a weekend in Washington. No pictures though.
