HUM 101: General Humanities: 3 Credits. An historical analysis of the interrelationships of art, architecture, literature, music, and philosophy with emphasis on the three great ages of outstanding human achievement: the golden age of Greece, the Renaissance, and the 20th century. Prerequisites: None.
Spring semester: HUM 108: Official Course Description
HUM 108: Contemporary Humanities: 3 Credits. An historical analysis of interrelationships of art, architecture, literature, music, and philosophy with emphasis on the 19th and 20 centuries and focusing on explaration of human expression in contemporary arts and sciences.

Attendance Policy
Since full and active participation is essential to success in this course, full attendance is required. Deliniations of �excused� and �unexcused� absences will follow TUHSD Policy as will the 10-day drop policy. However, a student enrolled for Rio Salado credit who misses more than five unexcused class sessions will be withdrawn from Rio Salado. If an emergency arises on the day a student is to perform or has a major assignment due, the student and/or parent should contact the instructor prior to that class period.
