How fruit can be ripened by machine
Using a fruit ripening machine( a climate controlled room in which ethylene is released) the ripening of fruit can be contolled. By increasing ethylene levels they can increase the rate at which the fruit ripened, and ripen the fruit at the same rate. Fruit does not ripen uniformally in nature. In addition to ethylene the machine controls: air volume, air velocity, carbon dioxide levels, oxygen levels and pulp temperature. These are all factors in the speed and uniformity at which fruit ripens. Using the machine you can automatically ripen many fruits including: bananas, pears and tomatoes.
