I found these great cabinets in a wonderful book I picked up at Lowe's. I want them! Jeff does not - we'll see
what happens. I think that he should just finish what he has started, we should get
a new counter top & sink and make more glass front cabinets. Below I will
publish some pictures of our kitchen as it was when we moved in and then what Jeff has
done so far. He stopped when
he lost inspiration and never picked it up again. Another idea I saw with the glass
front cabinets was using curtains in the door. I love that too. Pink &
green delights me, it is a happy healthy combination and I use it ALL over my house.
I would love to have these pink cabinets. We will see. Jeff & I
also discussed making our own cabinet doors and using stained or beveled glass.
I checked out the price of the doors I want and they run about $200 each!
I think we may take up making and selling cabinet doors!
knife holder w/cutting board that I am interested in, especially with a new grandson on
the way. We have lots of knifes, expensive chef type (Jeff had been a chef (28 years
cooking in restaurants) before quitting and doing construction full time) and they are
Jeff's pride. But where would we put that? Oh, it gets more confusing.
All these pictures were borrowed from Planning A
Better Kitchen by Creative Homeowner Press. You can click on any of the graphics
to get to Amazon Books and buy it from
them or go to Lowe's where I bought it, or just look around for it. It is a really
good book and if you are
planning
a kitchen you may want to consider investing in it. If you are interested in more
decorator books that I like, please go to my book page and see my recommendations.
As I do more projects I will be referencing more books. One book I would like
to buy and haven't yet, only as a reference book is by the same publisher, Creative
Homeowner Press and it's title is Choosing a
Color Scheme. The one thing I see wrong with ordering them from Amazon Books is
that they may be dated. The copy right on my Planning a Better Kitchen is
1997, where the one at Amazon is 1992. So BE WARNED, maybe go to Lowe's and buy it. Another great place to get
reference books is your local LIBRARY. Try it - you'll be surprised!
Take a look at my Decorating Pages index, enjoy!
There is so much to see - don't lose your way!
