...This is Brad Curkshak reporting live from Tharkad. Today the Blakist movement was crushed under the might of the Republic backed House Stiener. The Blakist had arisen in this region and have had great success with thier movement to generate a greater abundance of wealth. My sources tell me that a vast compound was penetrated today and all but a few of the Blakists were driven out and either captured or destroyed. On the lighter side of things we were able to reach Paladin Lakewood, who happened to be on hand for the Steiner Banquet held in the Republic's honor.

Recently our sources caught a glimps of Erik Sandoval's ship at space station Omega 1, Prefecture 5. Sadly the ship carrying our reporter and the solar recharging station Omega 1 were destroyed by a rogue commet. Full details are sketchy and our source indicates that he only heard about it from someone that he had talked too. The great Sandoval's intentions may never be known. The recording we have obtained is proof that Erik was indeed aboard the Omega 1 within the last four weeks. However if he was on the station when it exploded is a mystery. Erik, if you're out there let us know.
The great great grandson of Mahoney industries has just signed a contract ensuring his company's position as shuttle between Northwind and the Republic. This move defines the only access point that has recently been found, a way into what has become known as
The Fortress.
Mr. Mahoney had this to say: "Vell...Iz lyke zeess...ve dus da trunzportin un ze geut tranzported."
No comment on this expansion has been made by the Republic. I for one am still asking...are we alone, or are we apart of the Repbulic still.
