Being organized on the beginning of the XIX century, the school produced many prominent Russian personalities.

There were educated numerous representatives of the noble families as Roerich, Benua, Bruni , Rimsky-Korsakov,Semenov-Tyan-Shansky, Grimm.

More than 90 school graduates became Doctors of Science, 26 were elected the members of the Academies of Science and Arts.
