| 1. Open ditch at Vernon Ave NW between 44th & 47th has been filled along with new storm pipes and catch basins. 2. New detention basin on Steese Ave NW between 42nd and 43rd. 3. Televised most storm drains in the 8th ward to see where we can improve drainage problems. 4. Placed delininators on 47th ST NW to prevent reckless drivers from damaging property of home owners on the bend between Vernon Ave and the Colonial Club Apartment complex. 5. Installed lights on poles on 40th ST NW, Norman Ave, and the south side of 55th St NE for citizens who have been calling for years because of darkness. Also installed decortive pole lights in Plain Center allotment from 55th St NE to 52nd St NE and from Market Ave to Plain Center where there had been previously no light. |
6. Worked with traffic engineering and the Canton police department to have traffic studies done in all the neighborhoods to control speeding. We also have a speed control sign that collects data and violations and it has been in ward 8 for most of the year collecting data. 7. 38th St NW between Market and Frazier has started and should be completed by the end of the year with new storm sewers, side walks, curbing, gutters and a new paved street. This project was in limbo for years and in 16 months we took it from limbo to reality. 8. Tennis Courts at Roshing Park were completely redone and reflects the class in which the neighborhood it resides in. 9. The complete reconstructing and paving of Washington Blvd. 10.
