The Pride originates from Forks Cross, originally a group of friends and woods people bound together through family and religious ties. The Group started off with four members; Eaton a woodland scout, Tegwen wife of Eaton and a lay priest of Gourna, Tegwen's twin sister Morgan an apprentice mage and Dave a road warden.
When the Empire came to Forks Cross the group of friends quickly became disillusioned with the promises given of a better life. The Empire recklessly destroyed the woodlands to build fortifications, the soldiers hunted - not through their own needs, but to oppress the Tralians. Revolted by the behaviour witnessed and at the resulting scarred forests and people, the group took to the woods to hit Empire patrols whenever they could. They took out caravans and used the wealth plundered to help the downtrodden citizens of the area. They fed the poor, needy and homeless, giving back to them some of the dignity which the Empire had stolen.
The fight continued, each atrocity they came across fuelling their drive to resist and defy the Empire. They adopted a name for themselves, a name sprung from the beliefs they all shared. �The Pride�. As followers of Gourna it seemed only fitting that such a group should take on the name of hunters of nature. Cats of sleek efficiency, smart thinking and swift to deliver the kill on a marked target. They took the symbol of a blood red panthers paw on a black background as their own, a symbol which also serves as their holy symbols to Gourna; Tegwen as a lay priest, Eaton also as a lay priest although of limited power, Morgan with the ability to share power with her sister and Dave, also a lay member of the church although carrying the power of the Goddess
As time went by the group formed into a cohesive unit, Dave acting as front line fighter, Eaton dropping enemies with his bow, Morgan using mage darts and wounding and Tegwen protecting them before battle commenced and healing them afterwards as well as protecting her sister.
Over a period of time The Pride became aware of others in the woods in particular the Lonlorin Elves. When one of the elves mentioned that they were going to attack a Fort, Eaton committed The Pride to assisting. Unfortunately during the assault both Dave and Morgan fell to the Empire's troops. The attack, however, was successful. The Fort was taken and so Eaton and Tegwen left in search of one of the rebel cells so that they could continue the fight.
