War of the Ring (SPI) CyberBoard Gamebox

This web page has been generated as a short-term home for publishing updates to the CyberBoard gamebox for SPI's 'War of the Ring' wargame -- based on J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Gamebox v3.0 Improvements

Key improvements to the gamebox and scenarios since v2.0 include:

Scenario files for all 3 standard games (Character, Campaign & Three-Player).

Update to suggested PBeM play sequence.

Game-map redesigned/re-oriented for CyberBoard.

Game-map synced w/ CyberBoard hex numbering.

Shadow Points letter counters added.

Ring and "decoy" Ring counters added.

Pseudo "hidden" movement counters (dummy counters).

Playing piece ownership implemented.

Card/counter graphics, front/back setup and text updated.

Graphically enhanced endurance chart.

Addition of missing cards/counters.
