Sunday Aug 28th, A couple of months ago, Jason "acquired" a Korean "stalker". This Korean man, "Johnny" approached in a coffee shop downtown and basically followed him around all afternoon trying to talk to him. For some stupid reason, Jason actually gave him his real phone number, and Johnny has been calling nonstop since then. So Jason finally gave in and agreed to meet, and guess who got dragged along. And not even just me; Jason managed to convince his girlfriend Stephanie to come to so that we could both get the full "Johnny"
experience. I don't know if I can even fully describe the full "Johnny" experience. The whole afternoon was like something out of a movie. Johnny has decided that Jason is absolutely his best friend, and that Jason gives him "special powers". In fact, he doesn't even
have to see his doctor anymore, because he's met his best friend. Of course this is what we could interpret from the conversation, because although Johnny lived in America for half his life, he talks really really fast, and is almost incomprehensible. Now he's decided that Steph and I are also his best friends, and we are so hilarious that we have to go to Hollywood and be movie stars. Did I mention that we think that he's mentally ill? I swear, not all Koreans are this crazy, it just seems like between Jason and I, we manage to attract all the nutso ones!

Wednesday Aug 31st, I've been wanting to do some of my own stuff at theCommune open mic night for a long time, but I just never seem to have the right opportunity. Tonight I finally did it. It was a fun night, good crowd. Jason and I played a couple of songs together, and then I played some Bjork and Tori Amos songs. I also met a Korean jazz guitarist tonight, so hopefully (my fingers are crossed!) I can start playing some jaz soon! Tonight was another late late night, but I'm taking solace in the fact that the whole Chilgok Wonderland
crew was out tonight, so we're all going to be feeling the pain tomorrow! As far as Rob goes: things are definitly on. I have nothing but good things to say on this front.

Friday Sept 2nd, Tonight was the going away party for our friend Joon. He is Korean, but he is going to Australia for a year, and then eventually on to Toronto. Joon has been a great friend to all of us, and his English is absolutely awesome. The thing that I love most about Joon is that he's very non-conformist, and that is pretty rare to see in Korea. It seems like nobody wants to stand out or try different thingseveryone wears the same clothes, gets the same education, wants the same kinds of jobs (usually working for a big
company). So to meet a Korean who really wants to travel and have new experiences is somewhat unusual. We'll definitly miss him!
