Lived in Lakewood, Ohio as a child. Parents: Robert Louis Hill(she called him Papa, as do I),and her mother Mary Dorothy Griffith. She has 3 siblings.
Education:
She went to Catholic schools up until her senior year of high school. She told me she loved going to the Catholic schools, had a lot of fun there. St James Elementary, and Lourdes Academy(no longer open). Senior year was Lakewood High.
Work: Was a teller at Continental Bank for quite a while. When she had us, she stayed at home, and babysat for additional income. Later, she worked in the hotel business, as a maid, and then a supervisor.
Marriages:
1st:Henry (Hank) Sweisthal was her 1st marriage ,they married when she was about 20. They lived in Brookpark. They were married for about 3 or 4 years.
2nd: Robert S. Lawrence. All mom would tell me is that he was not a nice man, and they divorced very quickly, as in a matter of months.
3rd:Leon Albert Pabst, my father. They married in 1972.
I was born in August,the 21st of that year. They lived somewhere off of Clark Ave. in Cleveland, not the best area, from what mom told me. Eventually, they moved to Lakewood, where they had my sister Beverly Jeanette, April 22, 1974. We moved to Berea in '82, close to my Aunt Bev. In 1987, mom and dad divorced. In '96 we (my mom, Bev and I) moved to Brookpark, ironically, back to the same apartments my mom first lived in with Hank, Holland Gardens.
Unfortunately, mom's health started suffering a couple years after this. I now know that she had Depression, and she started isolating herself. The last 2 years of her life were spent in hospitals, and finally, a nursing home, Augustine Manor in Cleveland. Mom died on November 16th 2004, Papa's birthday. I know he came to take her away. She will be greatly missed.
