Krabi

We arrived in Bangkok on the Saturday with our bike well packed in its homemade case. Then on Monday we took a national flight to Krabi, on the South West coast near Phuket. This time we loaded the bike assembled directly on the plane, wrapped in foam to protect the frame and components.

Krabi is a very fast developping resort near Phuket. It shares the same bay and islands (most famous is Ko Pi Pi, above, and the famous bay where the movie "The Beach" was filmed), along with a clear turquoise sea and shallow coral bays which are perfect for snorkeling.

So we left the luxourious resort and headed for Phang Nga. Unfortunately, due to very crap local maps (no joke), we got lost about 4 times in first 3 hours, so we only made it to Ao Luk in the afternoon, just in time to shelter as a massive storm started and lasted all night.
