After a day's rest in Chefchaouen, we leave for the heart of the Rif to the village of Zoumi. The small road (sometimes more of a track) is very harsh as well. Zoumi is a tiny village lost in the mountains, and as in the rest of the Rif, the main activity is growing kif.
We were hosted by Zobit (far left), the school teacher in the hamlet of Laazib, Mohammed (on Ben's left), who guards an antenna in the mountains, his brother Abdeladem (on Ben's right), and Mohammed (on karen's right), a friend |
