All coaches are responsible for ongoing
communication with athletes in their groups i.e. changes in training
timetables, race times, help with selection of equipment, as well as
providing two written reports on skiing progress one mid season and
one at the end of season.

Team Coronet:
QAST’s top FIS racers will be named to this group through a selection
process beginning mid May/June. These athletes are the flagship of our
programme representing QAST Nationally and Internationally throughout
the season. This group will be focused at specific racing goals.
Youth Cup Team:
There will be a race circuit at a National level for the best athletes
born 1989/90. These children will form what we call our “Youth
Cup Team”. They will compete on full length Slalom and GS courses,
and will be registered with SRNZ to score points. If you are unsure
if your child is eligible for this, please consult the office.

Where do you fit in……….?
Scheme A athletes:
- Academy athletes and Full Time
- Training commences June 7th through to September 28th
- FIS or Nationally registered
Scheme B athletes:
- FIS/Youth Cup and Junior athletes
- Training commences June 14th through to September 28th
Scheme C athletes:
- For all other QAST athletes
- Option 1 covers all Interfields, Southern Champs
and South Island Junior Champs. Option finishes on 14th Sep.
- Option 2 covers 3 Junior Interfield races –
6th July, 3rd Aug, 17th Aug and Southern Champs 23/24 Aug. The programme
will cover the July School Holidays and the 4 w/e’s will run from
2nd–24th Aug.
Junior Ski Racing Introduction Programme:
- This great introductory offer covers 12 days of skiing commencing
Sat. 5th July for keen young skiers and is available for the 1st year
only in QAST. An assessment will take place at the beginning and end
of the holidays. Children may be upgraded to another scheme after completion
of these 12 days and continue ski training if they wish.
