Our trip started and ended in the Norwegian capital city, Oslo.  One of the first places we visited was Vigeland Park, which claims to be Norway's most visited attraction.  It features over 200 human nude sculptures by Joseph Vigeland and beautiful gardens.  The statues are tasteful and tell the story of human development from birth to death.
Below is a traditional Norwegian store house.  It is high off the ground becasue of the deep winter snows.
Above is a traditional Norwegian stave church that dates from the 1200s.
One of the highlights of Oslo is the Norwegian Folk Museum, where these two photos were taken.
Here is a real viking ship from the Viking Ship Museum.  It was built in the 800s.
The Akerhus Castle, dating from 1299, overlooks the Oslo waterfront.  We explored the grounds on our last day.
As we climbed up to Akerhus castle we found this statue of Franlin Delano Roosevelt above the Oslo waterfront.
