| We spent four days in Scotland and stayed in a cabin at Craigs Lodges on the edge of the town of Linlithgow. The landlords were very friendly as were everyone else we met in Scotland. Without a doubt Scotland is the friendliest place we have been to in Europe so far. Linlithgow Castle loomed over the entire town and is the birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots. We visited 5 castles in Scotland and the kids made a game of finding all of the bathrooms. The pictures just below are from Linlithgow Castle except for the one on the bottom right which shows the town square, which was just outside the castle gates. |
