| The Trossachs is a beautiful section of Scotland. The drive sort of reminded us of the Lake District in England. We found Loch Katrine (left & below) and took a bicycle ride. We also saw another cool castle, Doune, where "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" was filmed. Unfortunately we accidentally nuked those pictures and the ones of us on the bikes. |
| Alnwick is known for Alnwick Castle, which is most famous these days as the castle where parts of Harry Potter 1 & 2 were filmed. It is actually the private home of the Duke & Duchess of Northumberland. Rachel had great fun with the bow and arrow - turns out 2nd position in ballet is useful in archery too! Noah liked Knight school. |
| Out trip back to Holland was a fun part of the vacation. The 16 hour journey via ferry was quite comfortable. The kids had a blast on the ship and claimed the top bunks in our cozy cabin. We even slept well. Thanks for taking the time to look at our pictures. We hope you enjoyed them. - Cheers! |
