Kuda Nu ...

The kata Kuda Nu Bo Shodan, Kuda Nu Bo Nidan, Kuda Kama Sho, Kuda Sai Sho, and Kuda Tonfa Sho are all weapons kata created by Yuichi Kuda.  Master Kuda was a direct student of Grandmaster Hohan Soken.  These kata are based off of the training in Kobudo that Master Kuda received from Grandmaster Soken.  The Bo forms demonstrate a highly effective disarming move which throws the bo of your opponent out of there hands.  The Nidan version of this kata, teaches a sand flipping technique.  The bo kata can also be ran with an Eiku or a Naganita blade.  These kata teach how to disarm another opponent with a bo staff and then how to follow up with a counter technique.  Kuda Sai Sho teaches the basis of the sai.  Students learn to strike and block effectively with the sai.  Kuda Kama Sho teaches students some very interesting kama technique.  It teaches how to fight against a bo staff, how to disarm and counter attack an opponent.  This kata teaches numerous blocking and counterstriking techniques with the kama.  These kata were developed rather recently, so do not have a long history like the other kata of this section.
