March:        1st dose West Nile Virus and other vaccines if not immunized
                      prior or no vaccination history.

April:            2nd dose of WNV
                      Annual booster
                          *      Influenza - intra nasally
                          *      Eastern/Western Encephalitis (Sleeping Sickness)
                          *      Rhinopneumaritis (Rhino - respiratory / Disease)
                          *      Tetanus Toxoid

                          *       Potomac  Horse Fever (PHF) - profuse diarrhea in summer time.
                          *       Rabies
                          *       Strangles - intra nasally
                          *       Wormer

Oral Exam - check all horses - severe cases and show horses I float in
                        the spring, others I like to do in the fall, when I have more time.

                        i.e. Those that are in bold I would require, the others may be
                        required depending on your locations and individual needs.

May:                MOSQUITO SEASON STARTS

July:                Worm

October:         Fall Vaccination Boosters
                             *    Influenza
                             *    Rhinopneumonitis
                             *    Worm
                             *    Oral Exam - Routine Floating

Mares:              Rhino 5th, 7th and 9th month of pregnancy.
                           Worm one month prior to the foaling and again the day after foaling.

Encysted Stongyles:    Treated best with 5 days of Panacur orally. This is done on
                                             those thin, unthrifty horses that have been wormed, had their
                                             teeth checked, and still show no improvement. There is no
                                             test for them, only an intestinal biopsy or on a post mortem
                                             exam. So, I'll do this when all other causes have been
                                             eliminated.
