Remember Me? Chapter 6 "Hey" BJ said softly as Trinity set Aaron in his bed. "Hi" Trinity whispered as she turned off the Nintendo and followed BJ out into the hall. "It must be really weird for you to be here" she said. "Yea�.Kinda" Trinity said laughing softly. "Well I was going to get some ice cream before I went to bed�Wanna join me?" she asked. "Um�sure""It�s so nice out here" Trinity said as she curled up on the porch swing as BJ sat next to her a huge bowl of ice cream between the two of them. "Yea. When Nick isn�t here" BJ snorted. Looking at her in surprise Trinity waited for her to explain "Don�t get me wrong. I love Nick but I mean I get tired of the press. And even when I first met people they are like �Are you Nick Carter�s sister� and what am I suppose to say. Half the new people I meet I have to wonder if they are in love with Nick" she complained quietly. "Hey I understand." Trinity said smiling sympathetically. "No wonder Nick adored you" she said as she glanced at her. "Huh?" Trinity questioned looking at her blankly. "When we were growing up I always wanted you to be my friend-because we were the same age and you were the only nice girl in the neighborhood" she said with a laugh "but Nick never really let me be your friend. I thought he was a jerk for being so possessive of you. Not that I think he isn�t a jerk now�But I mean now I think we can�." She said a smile lighting up her face."Oh BeeJ if I even had a clue. I can�t believe Nickers cut you out. I always wondered why you never played with us" Trinity said as she took a bite of the ice cream. Letting it melt in her mouth she sighed "Well at least when I thought about it" "You know Trin-When you left�.Nick was devastated. I mean he had his little guy friends and everything but you and him----" laughing she let her sentence trail off. "I told him" Trinity said shrugging. "Yea but he really didn�t believe you would ever leave. And then you did. It took him about 6 months to really adjust. He was so stubborn. He would actually go to your house everyday for the first few weeks. It was actually kinda sad�." She said as she looked at Trinity to see her reaction but no emotions crossed her face. "That was a lifetime ago. Things change. He got over it�and so did I" Trinity finally said softly."When I watched you two today though-I mean you have to admit it was as if you never left" she said gently. Looking up at the stars Trinity let the breeze hit her face before she said anything "Yea. It was nice. Weird but nice" Trinity said as she gazed at the full moon thinking back to the days event."BeeJ! You ate all the ice cream!" Nick�s voice exclaimed as he walked out onto the patio. "Hey there Nickers" Trinity said smiling at him. Spotting the ice cream between the two of them he didn�t even bother to look at her as he snatched the bowl from them. "HEY! That is my favorite! GIVE IT BACK" Trinity exclaimed as she jumped up. Shoving a mouthful into his mouth he stared at her, the gloating evident in his eyes. Marching up to his tall frame Trinity was dwarfed beneath him but still raised her chin up at him in defiance "YOU BETTER GIVE THAT BACK NICKOLAS GENE CARTER" she exclaimed. "No" he said as he took off. "You jerk" she said as she ran after him. "Hey not so loud" BJ hissed but the two of them paid her no mind.Tackling him from behind Nick let the bowl fall to the ground as he landed face first in the grass. Straddling him Trinity looked at the bowl of ice cream strewn across the lawn. "NICK! Now look what you did" she said as she hit him in the chest. "Hey. Ow. God. You must have gained 5 pounds�.What are you bulimic" he asked a goofy smile on his face as he quickly reached up and rolled on top of her so he was straddling her and her arms were pinned to the ground. "Ouf! Well you gained enough for both of us! Get off. You�re huge!" she complained.BJ watched Nick sit on top of Trinity as she wiggled under his weight. Smiling to herself she wondered how Nick was going to deal with it when Trinity went back to Paris. Sighing she stood up and walked in the house. "I am huge" he said in mock hurt as he raised his hands off her arms for a moment but it was enough for her to roll him back onto the grass as she sat atop of him. But instead of pinning his arms she immediately began tickling him furiously. "NO" he yelped as he squirmed to escape her fingers. "Not so fast Nickers" she said as she let her hands graze his neck where he was the most squeamish. "Ah!" He exclaimed as he finally caught both her hands."Don�t. Don�t you dare" Trinity hissed as he stared down at her a glint of evil in his eyes. Before she could utter another protest he began tickling her but accidentally his hand grazed her breast and he shot up off of her in a hurry. Blushing slightly Nick stared at her in amazement "Where did those come from" he demanded. Laughing to relieve some of the tension in the air Trinity shook her head "Um�.I don�t know I woke up one morning and realized my ancestors endowed me heavenly" she said with a mischievous twinkle in her eye "What you don�t like them? Jerry always told me�" she said letting her voice trail off as she looked down at them. "What? Jerry?" he said looking at her closely. Batting her eyelashes at him she let a laugh escape her throat "Oh Ha, Ha" he said as he glared at her. "Oh Nicky I am sure you had to be endowed somewhat" she said. Blushing Nick shook his head "I am not having this conversation with you" he said as he went over to pick up the bowl. "So what are you doing here anyway" he said as he fell into step with her. "Oh�.your mom asked me to stay the night. And I agreed. She didn�t think staying at the hotel was such a good idea." Trinity said vaguely. "Why not?" he persisted. "I don�t know" she said as she walked back into the house.Next: Chapter 7 |
