Remember Me? Chapter 11 "The truth? I might die" Trinity said finally. The words echoing around the hollow bedroom. "WHAT!" Nick exclaimed over the telephone as she heard the slight panic in his voice. Exhaling she rubbed her heavy eyes "No, Nick, I am lying. You want to know the truth? At the age of 9 when I left�I contracted some sort of disease. They had a specialist here. That is why I moved. I am not fully recovered yet�And it�s been 7 years. So the reality of me ever really being OK is not a very good reality" she said softly. There was nothing but silence on the other end of the phone as she heard his steady breathing finally he let his voice enter her ears again "Why didn�t you ever tell me?" he said softly. "Tell you what Nick? I was 9, I didn�t understand. All I cared was I was leaving my best friend. I felt as if I had lost a brother. Nick I was torn up inside. Ok? Is that what you want to hear? Is that enough truth for you?" Trinity demanded as she felt the frustration she had been harboring all these years finally begin to build up inside of her. "Trin look�" he began but she cut in "Shit Nick. I told you I didn�t want to have this conversation tonight. Why don�t you ever listen to me?" Trinity demanded as she angrily wiped at the tears that were forming in her eyes. "I am going to bed. Just tell BeeJ I called" she mumbled then hung up before he could protest. Leaning back into the mountains of pillow she exhaled. Feeling as if a burden had just been lifted off her shoulders she felt as if a heavier one had been placed."Nick?" BJ questioned as she walked into Nick�s bedroom to find him staring at the phone his face blank. "Nick?" she said a little more alert as she crossed the bedroom and looked at him. "What" he said finally looking at her as he tried to focus his attention on her. "You look like you have just seen a ghost. What�s wrong?" BJ asked softly as she knelt in front of him. "Nothing�Nothing is wrong" he said as he shook his head as he tried to snap out of it "What do you want?" he asked finally. "I was wondering if I could borrow 10.00??" she said as she eyed him wearily. "Yea�go get it in my wallet" he said as he waved vaguely towards his dresser as he looked out the window. "OK Nick what is it? What happened?" she asked exasperated with his off beat mood. "Trinity just called for you" he said finally. Taking in a deep breath BJ waited for him to continue "She�Did you know�I mean�" he said stumbling over his words. Not quite being able to bring himself to say she was sick. "Sick?"
