Chapter 1

7 years later

Nick groaned as he followed Howie around the grocery store. "Howie, why can't we just get chips and call it a day?" Nick complained as he shivered from the cold air as he pulled the cart up to the dairy section.

Howie ignored Nick's comment as he began putting nonfat milk in the cart.

"CHOCALATE MILK!" Nick exclaimed as he literally lunged for it and put it in the cart before Howie could protest. Looking at him hard for a moment Nick gave him a pleading look. "Ok Ok" Howie said.

Smiling triumphantly Nick procceded to put some ice cream in the cart but with a stern glance from Howie he decided not to push his luck. Following him down the aisle he looked around "Have you seen Aaron? I thought he was only getting a candy bar" Nick said thoughtfully as he skimmed the grocery store for his brother.

Howie looked at him thoughtfully for a moment "Um no I haven't, maybe you should go hunt him down. It's impossible to pull him from the candy section.....Like someone else I know" he said with a playful smile.

"Oh real funny" Nick said shooting him a glare.

Laughing Howie nodded towards the aisle "Well go find your younger self and lets get out of here I don't feel like being mobbed. I don't think our luck is that good" he said knowing they couldn't spend too much time in one store.

Nodding Nick thought breifly about his childhood...."I did not spend alot of time in the candy section!" Nick protested.

"About 30 seconds late" Howie said laughing.

Glaring at Howie, Nick was not ready to let him win this "candy fight"

"Your mom told me" Howie said with a shrug.

"I think I would remember!" Nick argued as he mentally went over the trips to the grocery store.

"Your mom said you and some friend of yours would go into the candy aisle and never come out" he said shrugging....as he added "She said you were like 10 and the girl was 8 I can't think of her name" Howie said as he looked at Nick. Emotions Howie couldn't decipher flashed through Nick's eyes.

"Oh. Yea. Well she was the candy freak not me" he said flippantly as he quickly walked away to find Aaron.

Staring at the Almond Joys and Mounds, Trinity groaned slightly. "Oh I can't be here. Bad for you! Remember what the doc said" she told herself aloud.

"Excuse me? Miss?" a small voice said.

Trinity tore her black eyes from the candy as she looked over to find no one there but letting her gaze travel down she caught her breath. He looks so familar she thought trying to place the golden hair and aquamarine eyes. An old feeling of security filled her at the sight of the young child. Shaking her head she cleared her mind of the thoughts "Yes?" she said smiling gently at him.

"Can you give me the Mounds and Almond Joys? I can't reach!" he said looking at her with a pout forming on his lips.

Laughing she nodded as she took the two candy bars and gave it to him. Why does he look so famliar she asked herself one more time. Smiling grateful at her she was about to ask him his name but another voice interupted her.

"AARON!"
