Remember Me? by Rachelle ([email protected]) Chapter 2 Regretting the words the minute they left his mouth, Nick stared at the girl standing next to Aaron. For a moment all he saw was the long smoky hair falling down her back and the willowy figure, but as the two turned and looked at him he saw her black eyes peering out at him and he immediatly saw nothing but the short pudgy face next door neighbor with the unruly smoky hair who called him 'Nickers'. Trinity turned to the sound of the voice as she saw a famliar figure. Taking in a sharp breath, she breathed the one name that had been non exsitent in her mind and breath for the last 7 years "Nickers" she said softly. Feeling a burning sensation on her knee she looked down at her bare leg as she could almost see the shadow of the scab there. "We're blood brother and sister now" she heard her squeaky voice reach out to her from all the years past and shake her. Looking down at Aaron she now realized why he brought feelings of comfort and security to her. Quickly spinning on her heel Trinity walked away briskly. Nick just stood there in shook as he watched her disappear among the many shoppers. Shaking his head, he took in a wobbly breath as he watched Aaron approach him and hit him on the leg "I know she is pretty but geez get a grip Nickers" Aaron said as he looked at the two candy bars in his hand. Debate evident in his eyes which one he wanted first. Surprising Aaron, Nick grabbed his arm "Where did you hear that?" he asked him looking down at his brother who was his own reflection at that age. Aaron shrugged "Um the girl was looking at Snickers I guess but said Nickers...I dunno....Matches you" he said shrugging his brothers hand off his arm. Looking at him closer, Aaron pouted "Are you mad at me? What did I do?" he asked quietly. Nick wasn't home often. The last thing he wanted was for him to be mad at him. "No. No of course not" he said seeming to recover his use of words. Smiling Aaron opened the Mounds first.
