A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes Chapter 29 Nick began to relax as the evening progressed. Kevin and Kristy looked like they were having a great time. They continued their dancing and flirting - exchanging steamy glances and kisses along way. Nick approached Kevin at the bar, hoping to make peace. "Things seem to be better with you and Kris." Kevin turned to the tall blond. "Don't you have anything better to do than worry about my relationship with MY girlfriend?" Nick glared at the man beside him. No longer could Kevin intimidate him on pure physical presence alone although his scowl could still make him pause. Nick glanced over Kevin's shoulder and saw Kristy approaching them. He counted to ten, trying to hold his temper, more for Kristy's sake than Kevin's. Kevin's smile returned as Kristy slipped her arm around his waist and planted a kiss on his cheek. "Your water," he said, himself taking a long drink of another Long Island. Kristy took the glass and tugged on Kevin's hand, pulling him back to the dancefloor. Kevin turned and shot a smug look at Nick, then followed Kristy into the crowd. Nick was still frowning as he took his seat back at their table. Howie noticed and questioned him about it. Nick's gaze fell on Kristy and Kevin on the dancefloor, wrapped tightly in each other's arms as they danced to the slow music. "Does Kevin seem okay to you?" Howie followed Nick's line of vision and shook his head. "Yeah, actually this is the best he's been in awhile. Maybe we should get him drunk more often." Nick's head turned quickly to Howie. "What do you mean, `drunk'?" Howie shrugged. "Maybe not `drunk', but definitely, ahh... `loosened up'." Nick thought back over the course of the evening thus far, mentally counting all the different drinks that he'd seen Kevin with. He turned back to the dancefloor and tried to ignore the sinking sensation he felt in his stomach. "Nick... I know that look, don't go there. Kevin's an adult, and so is Kristy. They can handle themselves." "I sure hope you're right."Kristy and Kevin stood in the periphery of the crowd gathered around the bar. One of the bartenders climbed on the counter and announced the next contestants in the "Sexiest Shot" contest. A pretty brunette and her partner a tall blond made their way forward. She placed her order and the guy jumped up on the bar to sit. She received her drink a dark brown mixture topped with whipped cream in a tall shot glass and placed it between the man's legs. The crowd began chanting "Blow Job! Blow Job!" while the girl bent her head and coyly licked a bit of the whipped cream off the top. She then placed her mouth around the glass and tipped her head back to swallow the contents. After removing the glass she exchanged a long kiss with the man on the bar. The bartender called for the next couple a peroxide blond in a very short skirt and handkerchief top accompanied by a muscular Italian. They ordered their drink and were handed two separate shot glasses filled with different colored liquids. The woman took her shot, but didn't appear to swallow it, as the man did the same. The man then pulled her to him for a rough, passionate kiss leading the crowd, and Kristy and Kevin, to assume that they were mixing their shots. Kevin leaned his head down to Kristy's ear. "We could do better than that." Kristy turned her head slightly and smiled up at him. "Definitely." He kissed her lightly as the bartender again climbed upon the bar. "Any more contestants?" Kevin raised his hand causing Kristy's blue-green eyes to widen in surprise. "My girlfriend thinks we can beat those other couples." Kristy turned to Kevin, certain he was going to say "just kidding" at any moment. But instead he took her by the hand and led her to the bar. "What is he doing?" Nick mumbled as he craned his neck to watch Kevin back Kristy up to the bar. Kevin gave Kristy a seductive smile. "Cuervo 1800, salt, and a lime," he ordered while never removing his eyes from Kristy. The bartender poured the shot and set the three items on the bar. Kevin bent his head and drew Kristy's lips to his for a soft kiss. Kristy relaxed as Kevin's strong hands caressed her sides and she kissed him back. Before she could guess what was going to happen next, she found herself being lifted and set on the mahogany bar. Kristy's eyes once again reflected her surprise. Kevin held her gaze and placed his hands on her knees, caressing her skin, then slowly separating her legs. If possible, Kristy's eyes got even bigger. Erin frowned as she watched the scene transpire. She wanted to march up to Kevin and wipe that smirk right off his face. A.J. noticed her agitated state and placed his hand on her arm. "Take a deep breath. They're okay... and if they're not, Nick looks like he'll take care of Kevin for you." Erin's anger dissipated somewhat as she saw how irritated Nick looked. Kevin stepped forward and stood between Kristy's legs. He slipped his hands behind her knees and pulled her forward on the bar a little. Kristy tried to ignore the hoots and hollers that were coming from the crowd and looked deeply into Kevin's amazing green eyes. Her eyes drifted shut as he slid his hands down to her calves and guided her legs to encircle his waist. "Trust me," he whispered as he reached beside her for one of the items on the bar. Kevin took the lime wedge and ran it along Kristy's bottom lip, then upper lip and again back to the bottom lip. He gently pressed the lime forward and down and Kristy responded by opening her mouth slightly. Kevin slid the tangy fruit between her lips, leaving it partly out and partly in her mouth. He saw the combination of uneasiness and excitement in her eyes and smiled intimately at her. He next took the shot of tequila and placed the cool glass against her cheek. Kristy watched Kevin's eyes twinkle as he slowly ran the shot glass down her cheek to her neck, then lower still. The bodice of her dress exposed the base of her throat and the tops of her breasts. The coolness of the glass contrasted sharply with how warm her skin felt as it neared its destination. Kevin hooked the neckline of her dress with one finger and rested the shot snugly in her cleavage. While used to performing in front of crowds, Kevin knew this time was different. He reached for the salt shaker and lowered his head to the crook of Kristy's neck. He licked her skin slowly and Kristy felt like she was going to come off the bar. He raised his head and his eyes showed how much he was enjoying this. He sprinkled the salt where he'd licked and Kristy involuntarily shuddered at the strange sensation. He took his time placing the salt shaker back on the bar. By this time, practically every set of eyes in the club was on the couple at the bar, watching their sexually charged interactions. Kevin looked back at Kristy and kissed the tip of her nose before lowering his head again. This time he lavished even more attention on the sensitive skin at the base of her neck. He slowly kissed, licked, and sucked the salt from her. While Kevin's hands rested on her hips, Kristy's weren't as complacent. One hand rested on his shoulder, while the other was buried in his thick black hair as she tipped her head to the side slightly to give him better access. Kevin's lips moved sensually across her throat, then lower to her collarbone. Kristy's eyes were completely closed as he trailed hot kisses down her chest to the neckline of her dress. He then used his lips and to Kristy's surprise tongue to take the shot glass into his mouth. He raised his head, then tipped the glass's contents back in one swallow. He moved one hand from her hip and caught the discarded shot glass before bringing his mouth to hers. Kristy could taste the tequila on his lips as it mixed with the lime in her mouth. Soon the lime was nothing but a memory, but the couple was still deep in their kiss.Nick exhaled slowly and turned to his friends. Howie was blushing slightly, like a little boy caught watching something he knew he shouldn't be. Brian's expression was something between amazement and amusement. Even A.J. looked surprised. Nick looked to the one other person who would likely share his concern. Erin looked ready to draw blood. Although her sister certainly looked like she was enjoying herself, Erin was worried about her or more specifically, about what Kevin would do next. His behavior had been strange all evening even for Kevin. Erin had a bad feeling about what was still in store.Three things broke through the passion-filled fog Kristy was in as Kevin continued to kiss her. One was the catcalls and applause coming from the people around them. The second was the feel of Kevin's hands his left on her lower back, pressing her even closer against him as he stood between her legs, and his right on her thigh, inching upwards under the skirt of her dress. The third was the low moan from Kevin as the deep kiss continued. Kristy broke the kiss, breathless and still somewhat disoriented. What was she doing? Kevin looked into Kristy's face and saw the passion in her blue-green eyes. He also saw the faint blush creeping into her cheeks at the realization of what had just happened. Kevin smirked and gently lifted her off the bar, letting her body brush against the length of his as he lowered her to the ground. "He's getting laid tonight," Kristy heard a male voice nearby say, followed by male laughter. Kristy's embarrassment grew and her cheeks felt like they were now on fire. She raised intense eyes to the man who'd made the comment, hoping she looked more confident than she felt. The man met Kristy's gaze, then deliberately let his eyes roam appreciatively over her figure. He brought his gaze back to her face and smiled, before mouthing "lucky guy." Kevin drew her attention back to him. "You still have some salt on your neck." He wiped the remaining salt crystals from her skin with the palm of his hand in a soft, upwards caress, then cupped the side of her face and lowered his head, kissing her sensually. They were still focused on each other as the bartender climbed atop the bar once again to call for a final decision from the crowd although it was fairly obvious who their favorite had been. "Now, by applause will our winners be `the Blow Job demonstration'?" He waited for the applause to die down. "`The Swapping Shots'?" The crowd was less enthusiastic about the second couple. Before he could even announce Kristy and Kevin several people started chanting "BSB. BSB." The bartender raised his hands. "Or, `the Backstreet Body Shot'?" The crowd cheered and whistled while Kristy followed Kevin back to the bar where he accepted their prize a hundred dollars and a box of condoms and received a couple of slaps on the back from the guys nearby. Kristy held onto Kevin's hand and they headed back to their table. Kevin pulled her to him and kissed her lightly. "Do you wanna put these in your purse?" he said, referring to their prizes. He moved his head next to her ear and lowered his voice, "I think we'll be able to figure out some use for them... later." Kristy could feel her heart pounding in her chest as Kevin's lips brushed against her ear. It wasn't so much what he'd said, but how he said it, implying that "later" would actually be sooner. Kristy's eyes drifted shut as Kevin began sensually kissing her ear. "What the hell was that?!" Erin's voice broke through the haze that Kristy was beginning to get lost in once again. Kevin raised his head and met Erin's glare with an even stare of his own. "What was what?" "That little scene at the bar. What was that about?" Kevin looked at Kristy and smiled. "That was about having some fun." He emphasized his point by kissing Kristy again. Erin fumed. "Since when is being publicly groped considered fun?!" Kristy turned to her sister, then Kevin. "Will you excuse us for a minute, Kev?" Kevin smiled at Kristy as he drew her lips to his. "Okay, but ONLY for a minute." He kissed her passionately, then left the girls alone, smiling triumphantly at Erin as she glared after him. "Erin, what is going on? You and Kevin have been glaring at each other all night." Erin avoided answering her sister directly, not wanting to bring up her and Kevin's earlier conversation. "I think I should be asking YOU that question. God, you guys were practically doing it on the bar." Kristy blushed slightly, but didn't back down. "Excuse me for enjoying myself. I happen to like kissing Kevin - very much. You know things haven't been easy for us lately," Kristy paused, feeling tears prick her eyes, "So I'll admit, I've enjoyed having him be affectionate. I would have hoped you'd be happy for me." Kristy angrily brushed away a tear as it fell. Erin felt awful that she'd made Kristy upset, but she was still worried about her. She knew her sister normally wasn't into such public displays of affection, but Kristy was obviously willing to tolerate it for Kevin. "Kris, I just don't want to see you get hurt. And Kevin..." Kristy cut her off. "Is the man that I love." Kristy turned, hating to fight with her sister, but tired of having everyone suggesting that she and Kevin weren't going to make it. "And nothing he's done changes that." Erin watched Kristy return to Kevin and shook her head. "So far..."Next: Chapter 30 |
