Loves Lies by Nikki ([email protected]) Chapter 8 Nick took her hands and looked at her. He knew that what he was gonna say was gonna affect everything especially if she said no. "Ashley, baby, sweetie..." Nick started off with a goofy nervous accent. "Nick, honey, will you just spit it out please?" Ashley interrupted in the same accent, laughing a little. When she saw the hurt expression on his face because of her makin a little fun of him she apologized by kissing him. "I'm sorry, now what were you gonna ask me?" Ashley replied with a more serious tone. She was kinda getting nervous. This was way too serious for her. She didn't know if she wanted to know what he was gonna say anymore or not. She was snapped out of her thoughts by Nick. "Ash, I...I want you to move in with me. I mean I know it won't exactly look good after what happened with your parents and everything but I really wanna be with you so bad. I know you don't wanna go back so just stay with me. Wait and one more thing we're going on tour as you know for about 6 months I think with breaks here and there but I was wondering if you'd go with me?" Nick said really fast because of his nervousness. "Nick, you know what? You're too cute. I love when you get nervous like that." Ashley replied smiling at him. "So...just think about everything at least for me and you can tell me what you want later." Nick said turning away and getting out of the durango. As she saw him walk in the house. She knew she wanted to live with him but she had to think about everything first. "I want so much to be with you Nick. You don't know how much I love you." Ashley let out with a lot of sadness behind it. She quickly got out and went to catch up with him before he went in the house. When she got to the door he was waiting for her. "Why did you leave me?" Ashley asked him kind of disappointed. "I don't know, I just got the feeling that you didn't like my offer and I don't think I can handle you saying no. So I guess I thought if I left I wouldn't hear it. Just think about it for me?" Nick asked with all hint of pleading in his voice. He sounded like a sad puppy asking for a bone or something. It was too cute for words. Ashley smiled at him and opened her mouth to say something but Nick put his finger on her lips as if to tell her he didn't want to know right that second whether it was a yes or a no. Ashley gently kissed his finger, "I love you Nick." She said in a whisper. "Hmm, you know what baby?" Nick said knowing she knew what he was gonna say. "You love me too?" Ashley replied smiling that little girl smile and batting her eyelashes. "Yeah, I love you too, but I bet I love you even more than you love me." And with that he took off running because he knew he was about to get a little play fight started and he never ever won against her. She was so adorable and he had to let her win even on the times he was about to claim his victory he'd let her have it. This was something he missed. Just being around her and telling her he loved her all the time, anytime he wanted for that matter. Playing with her and just having the time of his life with her. He loved her so much. He didn't even know how to explain how much love he had for her and he just couldn't bare being without her. He was broke out of his thoughts when he heard Ashley yell, "Nick, where the hell did you go?" He heard the hint of frustration in her voice and ran quickly to his room. He crawled under the bed and waited for her to come in. He soon heard the door open. "Nick? Where are you? I don't wanna play anymore." Ashley said acting sad so he would come out. As she walked by the bed Nick grabbed her feet and pulled her down. "Fuck, Nick you scared the hell out of me!" Ashley screamed truly scared and kind of shaking, trying to catch her breath. "I'm sorry baby, I didn't mean to scare you so bad." Nick noticed her shaking a little and wondered why she got so scared. He knew she would be a little scared but she knew he would do something like what he did because he always did. When he noticed that she still wasn't talking he worried even more. "Baby, really I�m so sorry. What can I do to make it up to you?" He asked her while running his hands through her hair. He sat up and pulled her in his lap facing him. "Talk to me Ash. What's wrong?" He gently placed his hand on her chin and made her look at him. "Nothing's wrong." Ashley replied looking back down and sniffling a little. When Nick went to push her chin back up to make her look at him again he saw the big grin on her face. "Teasing me like that calls for severe punishment, you know that right?" Nick said grinning just as big back. "What's this punishment we're talking about?" Ashley said a little curious as to what he had up his sleeve. "This baby." He gently pushed her down and got on top of her and began kissing her. When he pulled away he gave her one of his famous smirks. "Hmm...Nick? You sure that's called punishment. I mean I didn't think the actual person getting punished was supposed to like the punishment." Ashley said smirking back. "Oh, you liked it huh?" Nick asked beginning to kiss her neck. "Very much so but Nick? If you keep going I�m not gonna be able to stop myself let alone you." Ashley said half moaning. "You really want me to stop?" Nick asked through kissing. "Don't tempt me Nick." Ashley said enjoying herself way too much. "That's my job baby." Nick said still kissing his way down her body. "Nick I really don't want you to stop cuz this feels too good but you should." Ashley said wanting more but trying to compose some willpower. Nick kissed her once more on the lips then got up and pulled her up with him. "So, what are we gonna do tonight?" Nick asked kind of disappointed that they stopped but went with her decision. Ashley didn't notice that hint of disappointment, "Anything, I don't care. Where am I gonna stay tonight though?" Ashley asked a little worried. She knew she couldn't go back to her house after that fight with her parents. "Well I was thinking maybe you could stay here with me tonight?" Nick said looking at her for a response. "Sounds good to me but on one condition." Ashley said looking at Nick seriously. "Anything." Nick replied waiting to hear her condition. He thought for sure she was gonna say that she slept in a separate bed or something and he really didn't think he could be in same house with her. The bedrooms right across from each other and not sleep right next to her. "That I get to sleep right next to you and you hold me all night like you did this morning, I missed that way too much." Ashley said looking at him with a sense of desperation in her eyes. "Well actually baby, that was my plan all along so I can more than handle that condition." Nick said gently kissing her. "ok well then since I�m staying here and I can't go back home to get clothes, Mr. Nickolas Gene Carter is gonna take me to the mall so I can buy some stuff right?" Ashley asked looking at him. "My turn to have a condition on something." Nick said lookin right back at her, "ok, I�m listening." Ashley replied curiously. "That I�m buying." Nick got up and pulled her with him and grabbed his keys. "No Nick. I'm buying." Ashley replied sticking her tongue out and running from him. Nick ran after her. He caught up to her and wrapped his arms around her. "Baby, let me buy you at least something. Why are you so stubborn when it comes to me buying you things? I don't get it." Nick asked not understanding it at all. "Because Nick, it's your money, spend it on you, but if it's that big of a deal to you then you can if you want." She replied hopping in the durango.
