"That's what I�m in, I�m in so much shit. I'm so killed." Nick grabbed her hand so she couldn't slap herself anymore and pulled her chin up so she would look at him. "Ash, i'm sorry. I shouldn't have stayed, it's not your fault. Let's just go talk to them because they're not gonna let you out of this house if you don't." He said trying to sound rational about it all. "No Nick, it is my fault. I wanted you to stay here and even if I do talk to them they're not gonna let me leave then either. I'm gonna be grounded for the rest of my fucking life and that means I�m never gonna see you." She said blinking back the tears. "Ash, don't cry please. I can't stand to see you cry at all. Baby listen, lets just go see where they stand about all this then we'll think of somethin I promise ok?" Nick asked pulling her into a hug. "ok" she said softly. As they walked down the stairs Ashley gripped Nick's hand tight as she saw the look on her parents face. All she heard was Nick saying 'it's gonna be ok, it's gonna be ok, I�m here' over and over. When they reached the bottom of the stairs they both walked over to the couch ready as they ever would be for all the accusing questions her parents were about to throw at the both of them. They sat down still holding hands. "Young lady, I presume you have something to tell me?" Her mom asked sternly. "Mom really, nothin happened. All we did was sleep, I swear." Ashley let out more scared then she had ever been in her whole life. "Mr. and Mrs. Whitmore really, we didn't do anything. I respect your daughter and I wouldn't take advantage of that respect." Nick let out feeling very intimidated by them. "Ashley honey, us seeing you in bed with Nick startled us a little. We didn't know what to think. I know you sweetie and I didn't really think you were sexually active yet." Her mom said sighing. "Mom..." Ashley began but was cut off by her father. "Ashley, we can handle that you are we just need to know that you're being careful and that you're going to be able to handle all the consequences from it. You're only 17 , you don't need any babies right now. You aren't even out of high school yet." Her father said sternly. "Dad, it's none of your business if we are having sex, it's my life and I make my own decisions." She said regretting it after she did when she saw the evil glare she was getting from both of them now. "Young lady, I don't wanna see you right now, go up to your room and we'll discuss this later when I�m not so disgusted with you. Nick, you need to leave." Ashley's mom said very angry. Nick got up to leave but Ashley stopped him. "No No No wait, Nick you don't NEED to leave, you're staying right here." She pushed Nick back down on the couch and began to speak again. "Mom, Dad, I�m almost 18 and you guys treat me like I�m two. You always have to be in my business and know what I�m doing 24 hours a day and where I�m at and speaking of that, where the hell have you guys been the last week? I mean don't even bother to leave your own daughter a note or anything. It's not like I�m important enough to know. I'm leavin, I can't stay in this house anymore, I want out, I don't wanna live here anymore, it's hell here!" She said letting it all out. She flinched in pain as she felt her mother's hand on her cheek. She dropped to the ground and started crying and screaming 'I wanna leave, Nick' over and over. Nick picked her up and got to his durango as quickly as he could. After a little driving Nick heard Ashley mumble somethin. "What was that baby?" Nick asked as he pulled to a stop at a red light. "I said I�m sorry Nick." She said sniffling a little "Sorry for what?" He asked curious as to what she was gettin at. "For...I don't know I�m just sorry." She said turning away from him and looking out the window. He sighed and pulled up in his driveway, stopped the car, turned off the engine, and turned to her. "Ashley, listen to my whole idea before you turn me down ok? Just listen to me until I�m finished then I wanna hear what you think ok?" Nick said a little nervous.
