It was night and I was just getting ready to hit the sack when the phone rang. "Yeah, I'm at the airport, waiting for my cab. I just got off the plane. Oh Brian says hi by the way... he's on the phone with Ellen..." "Oh, tell them both hi from me... how was you flight?" "Terrible... at least, that's what Bri' told me I slept all the way through... traveling always makes me sleepy..." We talked like this for almost an hour when all of the sudden my phone beeped; that told me the battery was low. I told A.J. I had to go and he said that he'd call me again tomorrow. And so he did. we talked everyday now, about almost everything. he sent me sweet e-cards and even flowers every now and then and he was planning to come by again as soon as he had the time. I really couldn't wait to see him again, I had never met such a sweet, respectful, loving and honest guy... "Why are you on the phone all the time? And why are you hanging up as soon as I enter the room?" Karen looked at me with an angry look on her face. I felt my heart sink in my shoes and swallowed hard. "Ahm... 'cuz I have some business love... and because everytime you happen to enter the room I just finished the phone call... don't worry sugar... it's really just business..." It was hard to keep on lying to her. I really liked her, she had always treated me good and she still was with me even after the whole amnesia thing. I felt so guilty but right now I just couldn't find a way to tell her about the thing that had happened when I was in Holland without hurting her... She was my friend, she had been my lover before we had become friends but that didn't mean that I loved her as a person. I knew how hurt she'd be when I'd tell her about Claudia... so I didn't...
