Destiny Is Everything Chapter 9 - No Love Lost A couple of hours passed by. Danielle had dozed off in Brian's arms. Slowly, she awoke. "Where are we?" she asked groggily. "Hey, sleepyhead. We're outside the pizza place," Brian answered. "Oh...yeah. So do you wanna go grab a bite to eat?" " 'K. But this time promise you won't leave before the food comes." "Sure thing." They got up off the bench and headed towards the car. They went to a 24-hour diner and ordered a couple of fat, juicy cheeseburgers with two glassed of soda. "Ohhh, I'm stuffed," Brian said as he popped the last piece of burger into his mouth. "Ditto," said Danielle. They paid the bill and drove to Danielle's house. "You wanna come in for awhile, Bri?" Danielle asked."Okay," Brian said. They went in and walked towards the couch. Danielle sat down and clicked on the t.v. with the remote. "Mind if I lay down?" Brian asked, gesturing at her lap. "No~not at all," Danielle said, smiling. Brian laid down with his head on Danielle's lap. She stopped at a channel with a movie showing. It was Sleepless in Seattle. "Ooh, one of my favorites...," Brian commented. Danielle smiled down at him and said, "I've been sleepless at night over you." She kissed him sweetly on the lips. As the clock ticked away, they watched the movie until Danielle noticed that Brian had fallen asleep. She reached for the remote and turned off the t.v. Gently and carefully, she got up. She bent down and kissed Brian good night. Seeing him sleep, she loved how innocent and child-like Brian appeared. She stroked his hair for some minutes and finally whispered, "Sweet dreams, angel" before going upstairs for a long, hot shower.Next: Chapter 10 |
