Destiny Is Everything Chapter 15 - Love is... In a short while, Danielle arrived at the BSB beach house. Nick let her in and then left through the back door to hang sea-side with the other guys. She walked up the flight of stairs to Brian's room. She knocked lightly on his closed door. When Brian said, "It's unlocked," she let herself in. Brian was lying with his back on the bed, looking up at the ceiling. She went over to him and knelt down. He turned over onto his left side so that he was facing her directly. Without a word, she kissed him on his forehead and caressed his curly bangs. Brian broke the silence by asking, " How have you been doing?" She shook her head, quietly wiping away a tear. He pulled her up and sat her down on the bed next to him. He kissed the top of her head and pressed his cheek against it, not letting go for a long time. "Danielle, I'm sorry- because I've been selfish. It took me awhile to realize that this...this incident has put you in a lot of pain and grief, too. I wish I had seen it from the beginning. You know? The misunderstanding on my part, I mean," Brian said, guiltily. Danielle looked up and quickly said," Brian, you're not being selfish at all. You had no way of knowing. I'M the one who should be sorry. Sorry that I dragged you down in all of this with me. And especially sorry that I hurt you." Tears glistened in her eyes. "Don't cry, Dani. Like I said, I'll be okay....I just need time to heal. And don't be sorry because you have no control over that jerk's actions," Brian said, referring to her ex-boyfriend, "If I could, I'd erase him from your past so that he was never a part of your life-and, somehow prevent you from falling prey to that rat's conniving ways." "Ohh-Brian, after all that you've been through, I can't believe you'd say that. You truly are MUCH too good to be true," Danielle said in a wavering voice. She buried her head in Brian's chest as she began crying uncontrollably. "Shhhh, Danielle. I'd do anything for the one I love," Brian said, soothingly. After a few minutes, he softly said, "We're in everything together. And that includes the bad stuff, too." All Danielle could do was nod, as she was too choked up by her tears.Next: Chapter 16 |
