All I Have To Give Chapter 13 No way. This can�t be happening! Oh my God! I wanted to smile, but it felt so good to be kissing him, that I didn�t want it to ever end. We broke apart and stared deep into each other�s eyes and I saw something I had never, ever saw before. Love. Well, yeah, I loved Nick, he was like a brother, but this was a different kind of love that family can�t feel and I knew he felt the same way about me that I did him. �Nick?� I asked and that one word worded my whole question. �Shelby Johnson, will you go out with me?� he asked. It took me a moment to register that in my brain. Nick, my buddy ol� pal Nick, asking me out? GOOD GOD YES!!! I nodded and smiled, and a grin lit up his face and I giggled. We kissed lightly on the lips again and I felt perfectly happy. We talked a bit more until AJ stuck his head in. Nick let him in, but I knew Nick didn�t want to go. I didn�t want him to go either, but I wanted to see everyone. �Hey Bone,� I said brightly as he sat down. �Don�t play that with me Girl!� he exclaimed. �I saw you two! You were having major liplock in here! I knew it would happen someday, but I never knew you liked him. Jeez, everyone knows he�s liked you for a looooong time�� I cut him off. Long time? �AJ, what do you mean long time?� �Girl, you should have seen him the next morning after you called about Bret or something? He had told us he liked you, oh, about 6 months ago, well, a long time ago. Then, the next day I�ve never heard him cuss in my whole life like I heard him cuss Bret.� I almost laughed, I could see that. It was sweet thought. �Anyway,� he went on. �I never knew you liked him! You two make an awesome couple.� �Thanks AJ. But what makes you think we�re going out?� His eyes got huge. �You two kissed and he didn�t ask you out? What�s wrong with him?� I laughed. �Just playing. He did ask me out.� �Whew, scared me for a sec Shelby.� We didn�t get a whole lot more time to talk, because after that, someone new came in every 5 minutes or so. I found out I had a minor concussion and if there were side effects, they would be small or nothing at all. I only had major headaches where I asked many people to cut my head off, but other than that, I was fine. I got out the next day.Next: Chapter 14 |
