Just To Be Close To You Chapter 2 When I finally got back home I went straight to my room I laid down on my bed facing the ceiling and thinking about what happened, when suddenly someone opened the door when I looked, it was my sister, she dropped by from work, so she asked "Hey there are you OK, you went straight to your room without saying Hi??" I answered "Nothin' I'm just in a bad mood" she stepped back and said "Ooops I think I'll come back some other time" as she laughed so I smiled and said "Don't be stupid, I'm not in the mood for your jokes now, and perhaps you know that I can't hurt you" she looked at me and said "Huh!! You're not my sister, what did you do with my sister!!??" as she sat by me looking very amazed, I looked at her and I wanted to tell her every thing but I couldn't, I wasn't used to telling anyone about my feelings, then I said "NNothin's wrong" she lifted my head up and said "I know something's wrong, What on earth could make you so sad?" I said "NOTHING" and I was starting to get angry again, so she got up and said "You are so stubborn, why don't you just tell me, I'm your sister and your friend, I dunno what happened to us we used to be so close " I yelled " That was a long time ago before you got married" she turned back and said "This is my life, I Love my husband and my kids, did you want me to spend my whole life in this house taking care of you, you're so selfish??" and she turned around again, as she was about to reach out to the door knob I called her and said "Wait.. I'm sorry, I just miss you being around me all the time" she walked towards me and said "I'm still here you can come over and stay with me as much as you want, you know how much my kids love you.. you know how much I love you" I just threw my self at her and gave her a strong hug then I said "You really wanna know what's bothering me,,?" she said "Only if you really wanna tell me" so we both sat down and I started telling her about my friend's surprise and spending the day with the BackStreet boys then I told her about Kevin.. She smiled and said "You know! not all the guys like your style, some of them want a real girl" I stood up and started shouting "What, did someone tell you that I'm not a girl??" she just laughed and said "I know you're a girl from the outside, but not from the inside, you don't act like one" as she pulled me down so I said "That's what Kevin said" "See what I mean" she said, then I asked her "What can I do to make him like me, coz I really like him" she laughed again and said "But he already likes you" I was really surprised so I asked "What.. how do you know that, and how can he like me after what happened" so she said "Remember when you told me that when you were walking behind them he was looking around like he was looking for someone.. and then when he saw you walking alone he told your friend to go and get you " I remembered what she was talking about and I said "But when he smiled it felt like he had to.. and all the stuff that happened after that..." she stopped me and said "yeah coz like I said the stuff you did, and the way you talked to him, he likes you, I'm sure he does but after he saw how you act, I mean the stuff you do all the time, and I know what you do when you're having a good time, maybe he was shocked from your actions, but trust your big sis he likes you" I looked confused and said "No I don't think so, he hates me I..." suddenly she put her hand on mouth and stopped me and said "What was it he said? you're too beautiful to waste your beauty on boy stuff, or something like that??" I finally smiled and said "OK I got your point maybe you're right, but I'll never see him again so let's just forget it" I heard the door bell ring then my sister said "You never know what could happen" I heard Mom's voice yelling "________ one of your fiends is here".. So I went to see who it was and to my surprise it was.. "KEVIN!!" I said surprised.. "Hi.." he said with a big cute smile, I was so surprised I never said a word, suddenly my sister appeared and said, "Hi Kevin, I'm _______'s big sister _______" as they shook hands, I looked at her and said "What are you doing here?" she looked at me and muttered "saving your life" then I turned to Kev and I said "How did you get here??" he smiled and said "your friends showed me the way, I gotta say you have alot of friends around here every one knows you" my sister smiled and said "Yeah she's very popular" I stopped her and said "So did you forget to say something else about how I look" his smile faded away and he said "No, I hope you forget about what happened today" as he gave me a big red rose he was hiding behind his back then he said "I'm really sorry, I guess you're still mad at me, but this is for you" I looked at the rose and I smiled, then my sister garbed it quickly and said "Oh it's beautiful" then I said to him "Thank you, you're very sweet" so he said "So am I forgiven?" I paused for a moment then I said trying to act wise "Well we were both wrong, so I guess you are forgiven" so he answered "Then in that case you're forgiven too" we both laughed and then he said "Actually I didn't come only to apologize, I want to invite you to dinner tomorrow, were all going and I'd like you to come.. I mean we'd all like you to come, please come!" I didn't really know what to say so I answered "Lemme think about it and I'll..." all of a sudden my sister yelled saying "No Of curse she'll come, she'll be glade to come" I tried to stop her but no way then Kev said "well it's your friend's idea, I think it's some fancy restaurant down town" my sister pinched me from the back to make me say yes so I had to "OK OK.. I'll be there" he smiled and he looked happy, but he had to leave, he sad goodbye and I watched him as he walked towards his car.. got in .. and he drove away... My sister grabbed my arm and pulled me inside and said "See I told you he likes you, other wise why would he come here?" I looked at her and she could see the anger burning in my eyes as I said "What did you think you were doing back there?.. I'LL KILL YOU" as I chased her around the house.. When we finally got tired we sat down on the sofa laughing, then she said "I did this for your own good, I'm sorry if I over did it, just take care of your self tomorrow and try to act like a girl for just one night" I smiled and said "Thanx I'll try" as I gave her a hug she said "What is this sister hugging day?" I looked at her again and again she ran off screaming and I started chasing her again... The next day I started getting ready for my big night, at least that's what I thought, I drove to the restaurant my friend told me about the night before, when I walked in I found every one waiting for me, I was late as usual but it was a fancy restaurant all right, every one was dressed up with nice shiny suits and ties and beautiful shiny night dresses, except for me I was wearing baggy jeans a T-shirt with a big peace sign on it and army boots!! but as usual I didn't care as I walked in every one was staring at me, especially Kevin who's smile faded away the moment he saw me...Next: Chapter 3 |
