Sweet Dreams Chapter 4 As Caroline parked her car she could see the ambulance was already there. She jumped out of her car and ran towards the court. "Nick!" she called. "Over here. Kevin and the rest of the guys are on their way." Caroline watched as the paramedics put Brian up on a stretcher and wheeled him into the ambulance. "Who's riding?" one of the paramedics asked. "I am," Caroline said. She looked at Nick. "Is that okay?" "Sure. I'll go meet up with the rest of the guys and we'll meet you at the hospital." "Bye," she gave him a hug. "This way miss," said the paramedic. He led her to the back of the ambulance. She sat down and held Brian's hand. Seeing all those tubes ran up and down his body suddenly made her feel nauseous, but she sucked it down and held Brian's hand through the ride that seemed like it would last an eternity.[AN: people use this line a lot.] As they rushed into emergency Caroline could feel herself getting dizzy. "I'm sorry miss, but you'll have to wait out here. This is a restricted area." "Alright, but is he going to be okay?" "We'll see what we can do." Caroline tried to stop her tears, but they were like a running faucet. About 5 min later Nick and the rest of the guys came in. She ran and hugged him. "Hey, is Brian okay?" "I don't know." Just then the nurse came out of the restricted area. They all rushed towards her. "Is he okay?" Kevin asked. "I'm sorry, but his condition is getting worse and worse. We've begun operating, but he slipped into a coma. We're trying everything we can. I don't mean to disappoint anyone, but he could possibly die." Everyone's face grew pale. Caroline began to breakdown. She ran to the bathroom and began throwing up. With all of this stress her body couldn't handle it. She hadn't had sleep in weeks and she was exhausted. She cleaned herself up and walked out to where the rest of the guys were standing. Something didn't feel right. The lights became brighter and everything began to blur. Next thing she knows everything goes black and she fell to the floor. "Somebody get a nurse," A. J. called.When Caroline woke up she realized that this was the first time she had sleep in weeks. She also noticed she was in a hospital room dressed in a hospital gown. The nurse came in. "You're finally up," said the nurse bringing in a cart of medication. "I was afraid that you had slipped into a coma." She put two white aspirin in a cup and handed it to her with water. Caroline took the aspirin and set the cup down. The nurse began, "Your body was suffering from sleep depravation. That's what caused you to faint. With all of the stress your body couldn't handle it." The nurse walked over to the door and closed it. "We ran some tests on you and I don't know if you're aware that you are pregnant." "What? What do you mean I'm pregnant?" "That's what the tests show. I can tell you need to be alone." The nurse left. Caroline tried to remember how she could've gotten pregnant. Then she remembered that afternoon in Kevin's bathroom...with Brian...
