I have divided the history of Kanturk into two seperate pages.
The first page contains information on some of the more famous landmarks in Kanturk, such as the Church and Kanturk Castle, as well as a piece on The Kanturk-Newmarket Railway. There is also a section on Edel Quinn, one of the most famous people ever to come out of Kanturk.
The second page details the history of most of the streets of Kanturk. In time i will add more information about the other streets, and indeed the other areas of Kanturk which are steeped in history.

Most of the information contained in these pages has been taken from a booklet that was brought out about Kanturk in 1981.
