 Latest Updates

December 10th, 2001: Added a TIMELINE page

December 5th, 2001: Changed the page layout and colors; now, it is less strain to the eyes.

November 30th, 2001: Became a Fabmart affiliate. Will update all the book links soon. Also, added site tracker to my site.

September: I have started learning Keyboard. I have a Yamaha PSR-280 model, which I am quite proud of (yes, you read that RIGHT, I am rather proud of my possession. Though, models 340/540/720 may have features and I'd certainly love to have them all, this is the one I "bought" first -- my hard earned money --- u get why I am proud? :))

Though, I don't claim to be the next A.R.Rahman (for those who don't know him, he is a talented Music Director!), I think I'd make a good show with my instrument. But, the other day, for practicing, I searched the net for Tamil sheet music sites, but could not find one. Is there no site on this? If yes, I am planning to start one soon. I am sure I can produce a lot of sheet music pages, together with my 100+ Tamil MIDI files and the classic MIDI Notate software and tons of coffee.

Updated on 28th Nov, 2001: I have found a very good site, http://notes.tfmpage.com, but again, for western notes, I had to search down and far. To ease the way for those of you who might search for the songs' notes like I did, I have created a mailing list called songnotes. Please join it, if you are interested in getting or sharing notations.

 My Interests

My Interests keep varying from time to time. There are some steady things too, like BOOKS, Computers (Click here to see my topics of interest in the Computer field).

My mom got me interested on books, when I was 5. I was studying FIRST standard then, at Y.W.C.A (Madurai) school. It was the James Bond classic "Dr.NO", in Rani Comics. Those of you, who have studied these comics and also the other stories from Muthu comics, Lion comics will understand why the importance of these comics cannot be just ignored.

"If you want to see your child grow interested in books, start him off with COMICS, that too in your MOTHER TONGUE"

Visit these forums on Comics ( S.Vijayan, Muthu comics Editor posts here often) -- http://forumhub.com/tlit/20648.03.46.30.html, http://forumhub.com/tlit/24320.18.24.43.html. See this link for a daily dose of absolutely humorous cartoon strips - http://comics.forumhub.com/

I remember nearly all the faces in my class, from YWCA. But, I don't remember all of their names --- I remember Vinodh, Lalitha and Ms. Jeyashree, who was my class teacher. I also remember the person who comes in Yezdee and picks her up :D

My other steady interest is Computers. I was learning a bit here, a bit there about computers, mainly about BASIC language, in my school days. I decided to take up a computer course, at Port Bit Systems,  during my 10th standard holidays. That changed my life, literally, to say. I learned DOS/dBase/Lotus 123 and WordStar (remember these?). I was fascinated by the way my brain was stretched. Would you believe If I tell you I wrote a small Hangman game in Lotus 123 macro language? Now, thinking about that, makes me laugh "What foolishness and how silly waste of time it was?". Yes, it was silly, but not entirely fruitless. First, it showed me that I could do programming, the next, and the most important, it taught me that I could do anything with any tool provided I was game for that. I got a wonderful intellectual companion, Dhanush Ram, who, now, I guess, is working at a Chip designing company at Bangalore, India. It was a healthy competition between us two; he'd be always coming up with a new one to surpass my idea. A rather clever boy and I should say I feel gratitude towards him for being the root cause behind whatever minimum I know now,  of computers. Even after this short course, my learning new things, mainly by exploring and experimenting, didn't end. Thanks to Gokulakannan, who is the owner of that institute. I was given ample computer time to do all the mischievous things I could ever think of.

Apart from these steady thingies, I am interested in Astrology (always fascinated by the 9 planets and the close relationship they have with our day to day life), Palmistry (how can I go uninterested, when I can see plainly the Rekhas differing from hand to hand?), Psychology (Read Carl Jungk and you'll immediately turn in to a die-hard fan of him!), chosen Philosophical collections (Jiddu, Bertrand Russel), Graphology (With a rather large stress on Forensic science), Egyptian Mythology (Try to read the Book of Dead at least once!), Model Guns (I have some model plastic guns -- a P139 and a Beretta), Movies (I hate those movies that make you cry!), Tamil Kavithaigal (Basically, I read a lot of Tamil Marabhu kavithaigal and Haikus!), Sci-Fi and some more that I cannot just put down here ;)

 Website

I am thinking of building up a decent looking web site. I have lots and lots of files (Cracks/Patches/tutors/Warez), which I'd love to share with all. I'd also love to have a discussion group/forum on this website and more than this I'd love to work as a group. So, if any body is game for this idea, drop a line at my INBOX

If you have reached this point, and you have read all of my blabbering, then certainly you deserve some gift; mail me, perhaps we could go for a lunch, together. Bill (Gates?!) comes to me, of course! :)
