In the past two weeks,from August 6-21, nursing students of UP Manila frequently visited our center to offer free counselling to the kids. This serves as their training for their Primary Psychiatry class, which focuses on psycho-social adaptation and promotion of mental health. For such a short period, the group and children have developed closeness and trust with one another, creating a bond that "cannot be forgotten" as how one student puts it. The students' last day, ended by a "Socialization Party", wherein the students and kids enjoyed games, performances, and snacks. As farewell drew nearer, they had all become emotional but the event was still concluded with laughter.
