| Hi there, I am glad you found my Body for life web page. Firstly let me introduce myself, my name is Kerry Kwestroo, I am 45 years of age and am married to Ron (go kanga's )we have 3 lovely girls aged 17, 13 and 11. I work as a nurse in Psych and general, I originally trained as a Mental Retardation Nurse and truely love people but most of all I enjoy helping people to help themselves. I have now completed 2 Body for Life challenges, my first challenge was in 2003 and I lost 14kgs of scale weight, that year I won my age group for Australia and was presented with an Avanti mountain bike and $500.00 dollars worth of EAS suppliments. Following that challenge I continued to lose weight by eating heathily, I slacked off a bit in the exercise dept and felt that I had lost a bit of muscle. Hence my next challenge almost a year and a half later which I completed in October 2004. It has been a huge learning curve for me since starting my first Body for Life challenge, I threw myself into studying nutrition, exercise and mind control. I learnt how to read food labels, how to cut the fat and sugar from my diet and how to add the good fats, I also learnt how to make a delicious meal while doing this. Ron was the official taste tester of my recipes, he lives to tell the story. The results of my second challenge was a loss of 5kg in scale weight, I lost 6.5cm off my hips and 5cm off my waist , I also reduced my body fat from 28%-16%. I feel now that i have reached my perfect weight for my height. I am extreemly healthy and have the energy and outlook on life as when I was 27 years of age. A few tips for anyone wanting to do a challenge---write down your goals, visualize them, read them twice a day, live those dreams, wipe away any negative thoughts about not finishing and replace them with the I can do it attitude. If and when you do stuff up and eat the wrong thing or miss a few workouts, don't beat yourself up over it, you are just creating negative energy, get right back on that treadmill of dreams and head for the finishline again and again, use that positive energy to reach your goals. With my work I see so many unhealthy people, of both mind and body, don't you be one of them, go and do something about your health today, here is wishing you all the best always. KERRY KWESTROO. DON'T MAKE EXCUSES MAKE IT HAPPEN!!! |
