| Diamond was in her room fixing her hair while going over the conversation she had with Tia. Tia wasn't very happy about the reasons she was there, but told her to lighten up and become a little friendlier. Which meant no fake smiles or laughs, everything had to be genuine. For half of that day she had completely forgotten about what her job was, but quickly punished herself for letting the boys in so fast. A knock at the door broke her concentration on curling her brown hair. Looking at the clock she noticed it was only 6:45 and she needed to be downstairs in a few. Curling the last strand of hair, she put the curling iron down. Peeping through the hole, a smile came to her face. Outside stood Joey in a nice white dress shirt and black dress pants with a rose in hand. Opening the door she was greeted by his bright smile. "Well, hello dear. A rose for thy lady," said Joey handing her the rose. She gladly accepted the rose from him. "That's very sweet of you Joey. It's beautiful. What may I owe this pleasure?," asked Diamond. "I've come to escort you to dinner," said Joey, placing his arm out. "I would love for you to escort me. Hold on for a second, I have to get my purse," she said, rushing about to gather her belongings. Closing the door behind her, she wrapped her arm around his. Walking into the dining room for their dinner, she was amazed. The room was beautifully decorated in gold and hunter green which, surprisingly was Diamond's favorite colors. She was greeted by tons of people who welcomed her into the Nsync family. She was quite shocked at how they treated her like a family member more than someone who worked for them. She gave all the boys kisses on the cheeks as well as hugs. JC pulled her chair out and she accepted graciously. "Wow! This room looks amazing. These are my favorite colors too," she gushed. "That's because we had it decorated especially for you, Mish," smiled Justin. Confusion appeared over her face. "What? How would you guys know my favorite color if we just met? Mish?," asked Diamond, looking around the table. "Yeah, I called you Mish. That's your new nickname and your boss told Johnny and Johnny told us," explained Justin. Diamond's body became tense when Justin mentioned her boss, ex, what ever you would call him. Catching herself before anyone could notice, she forced a smile. "Well, that was nice of him to do that and that nickname is ridiculous, but cute," she laughed. The others joining in with her laughter. "So Mish, do you have any siblings? Children?," asked Joey, while smiling. Words of Tia rang in her head."Open up, let them know Diamond not Michelle." "Actually, I'm the only child and yes, I do have a child. Her name is Krystal, she's my everything," said Diamond. "Wow! For real? If you don't mine me asking, where is the father?," asked Lance. "The father? Well, he isn't in my life nor do I let him be in her life. There are things that he did that kept me from letting him into her life and others stuff," softly said Diamond. The guys each exchanged secret looks between each other. "Oh.... Im sorry about bringing the topic up. The whole children question was supposed to be funny," sheepishly said Joey. "Ha ha ha.... I know. Don't bang yourself up about it because it's not your fault," laughed Diamond. "Ok, since we have that out of the way, lets finally eat some food," said Chris, looking at everyone. Dinner with the 'Nsync crew was hilarious. Chris was making her laugh so hard, she almost choked on her drink. She was very surprised with herself at how she opened up towards the guys. That wasn't exactly what she had planned to do, but it wasn't going to hurt her, right? The night was closing and she felt her eyes falling slowly. Justin took notice and leaned over to speak to her. "Hey, you look tired. Are you ready to go to bed?," questioned Justin. She turned her head to face him. "Yeah, a little. You guys have really worn me out," she said, pushing aside a curl from her face. "You should go to bed. We wouldn't want you sleeping on the job tomorrow because you're going to be running around like a man woman," declared Justin. "You're right. I should be going to bed now," she said," Well guys it was a wonderful dinner, but I'm really tired. I haven't slept since I got off the plane. I'll see ya'll 5am tomorrow." "Michelle has a good idea. We have to wake up really early," said JC, pushing his chair back with others following. Walking out of the dinning room, they all walked her to her room."Goodnight boys. See yall in the morning," said Diamond, opening her door. "Goodnight Mish," they said, putting a smile on her face while closing her door for the night.. Back Home Chapter 3 |
