| Amelia had just finsihed cashing an regualar customer when Mrs. White walked into the store like she usually did on Saturday afternoons after her therapy to talk for a wile with her. Mrs. White was a married elderly woman who came in to shop for the lastest things that came to the shop. Her husband used to work at a food company, but retired four years ago. Mrs. White was like an another mother to her. Always checking up on her doings and the Jisela. Mrs. White was also the woman who helped her find the apartment she lived in now. She was very grateful to know the two of them and expressed her appreciation every chance she got. "Good afternoon Mrs. White. How has your day gone by so far?," asked Amelia. "Afternoon too. My day was fairly good. How are you?," asked Mrs. White. "I'm doing fine, just a little lonely without my little angel with me," Amelia said. "Ahh...yes. Shes with the father right. I think you should enjoy this down time as much as possible because before you know it, your hands are going to be full with that little angel," said Mrs. White. "Yeah, thats for sure. Its just weird knowing I only have to wake up for work or other things besides her. Is there anything in here you see that you would like to buy?," asked Amelia. "Ha ha ha...there are a few, but I promised James I wouldn't buy anymore stuff from here for a month," laughed Mrs. White. Amelia laughed along with her at Mrs. and Mr. Whites antics. "Oh, ok. Just know that you are always welcomed to buy from here," said Amelia. "Ok sweetie. I have to get going. See you sometime," said Mrs. White, waving bye. "See ya later Mrs. White," laughed Amelia, shaking her head, she checked the clock for the time. In any mintute, Nick was supposed to time in for work and she would take her lunch. Like he was reading her mind, he walked in with a cup of coffe. "Yay! you're here on time for once Nicky," smiled Amelia. "Ha ha ha.....I know. Can you believe it?," questioned Nick. "Nope. Not on bit," said Amelia, getting a suprised look from him," Just kidding sweetie. Catch you later." Walking out of the door, she was about 5 feet away from her car when she heard someone gasp her name. He body turned stiff as she reconiged the voice. She never once thought she would hear the voice of the woman who called herself her mother but turned her back on her because she loved a man of another ethnicity. Turning around she was shocked more when she noticed it wasn't just her mother, it was her family and Mya together. Her heart began to pound hard and loud. This had to have been the feeling of something major happening to her she felt on her way home on the plane. "God, what are you all doing here?," asked Amelia. "I think we should be asking you the same question," replied Mrs. Jacobs. "I live here. I was here before ya'll so I want to know why are you here?," questioned Amelia. "So this is where you hid when you disappeared from the earth and theres no Justin. You poor thing, he left you for that model Channel Lane. I would have done the same thing," teased Mya, Tanisha stiffled a laugh. "Is that supposed to hurt me and no he didn't leave me, I left him. Why am I telling you people this. I'm not your family. I was disowned, my bussiness isn't yours anymore. I really don't know what to say. Just what ever you're doing here go away because my life is just fine without ya'll in it. Go back to Orlando and live the nice life and leave me in peace," said Amelia, storming off to her car. "You come back here. We haven't finished talking," screamed Mr. Jacobs, turning around, she stared her so called father in the eye and flipped the middle finger at all of them. They stood there stunned at Amelia's rudeness. Slamming her car door, she immediatly stepped on the gas and sped away from them as far as possible. When she felt her world was going well, her family just had to appear out of nowhere to ruin her again.God, why is this happening? Why are you punishing me? Why can't I just be happy for once instaed of feeling pain and loneliness, she thought to herself. Tears began to fall freely from her eyes making it very hard for her to see clearly. Brushing the tears from her eyes, she didn't realize she was heading for a sign in front of her. There was an immediate imapct between the car and stop sign. The sound of Amelia's screams where shadowed over the crashing and breaking of the glass. The last thing see remembered was seeing the face of Jisela telling her she loved her. Back Home Chapter 11 |
