Gravestone Database

The McGuire Chapel Cemetery is a larger than you think! It has about 100 buried and about 10 veterans. Sadly, many stones have been lost, such as William Flocker and some other people. Below is a gravestone map of the cemetery, and a database of the people. Special thanks goes to Mr. Michael Lutz and Mrs. Denver L. Walton for their older databases. The database below is a combination of the two, and includes new information and updation by me since the last revision date of 1982. Use the floating navigation bar to jump to sections of the database.

This report was made by combining a report by Denver L. Walton (recorded 12/26/1971), and Michael Lutz' Eagle
Project (completed August 1, 1982). This report was updated based on burials after 1982 and minor corrections were
made to the reports. "Illegible stones" and new discoveries were found by angling a flashlight from noon to dusk/night. This highlighted "illegible" information.
According to the Veterans administration office, the following are buried in the cemetery, but the gravestones are lost/unexistent:
oWilliam Flocker Born 1811 Died 1876 Civil War Vet
oPete Miller Died 1878 Civil War Vet oJames Woods GAR #696
oJames W. Craig GAR #11217
