Hand-pieces / Tweezers |

The second hand-piece I built was a set of tweezers. The tweezers have stainless steel replaceable tips which are held in place with 4-40 set screws. Each side of the tweezers was machined from brass stock on my lathe and was covered with black walnut handles. The hinge was from a simple jewelry box and the spring from a ball point pen. Again, banana plugs were soldered on the leads. Dimensions are shown in Diagram 2 |

A floor switch is used with the tweezers. Its basically a lever actuated switch from some sort of industrial machine. The switch is mounted to a base plate made of thick steel. It plugs into the hand-piece control and becomes SW2. Its finished with brass hardware, and painted to match. |
